"I think I might of inhaled you, I can feel you behind my eyes, you've gotten into my bloodstream, I can feel you flowing in me."
"So, basically, you were reborn in The Other Dimension? And The Other Dimension is another planet that other supernatural creatures that are also reborn, can live?" I repeated the words Klaus had told many times. My eyes were narrowed and my lips pursed.
Klaus nodded. "Yes."
"And, now that I know about the Other Dimension, I can travel there?" Klaus nodded again. "And the door to this other world is in the cellar where Tyler used to turn into a werewolf every full moon?"
"Exactly," Klaus told me with a lazy shrug. I let his hand drop instantly, which makes him send me a narrowed look.
"Okay, got it," I mumbled.
For the past half hour, Klaus filled me in on everything that has happened to him since he was magically reborn. He told me about Castalia and Delphus, the supernatural creatures who helped him whip back up to shape. I laughed when he explained how they hold balls almost every night, and how for two weeks, he was made participate.
"You were only in the Other Dimension for two weeks?" I then asked with a quizzed look.
"Yes, as I recall."
"That's weird," I raised my eyebrows. "You've been gone for a whole two months over here in Earth."
Klaus looked over at me, his face showing just as much confusion as mine. Then he smiled. "Time must be different here than it is over in the Other Dimension."
"That must be it."
Klaus and I stay quiet for a minute. I glanced over at him, and he looked at me. He looked like he wanted to say something, but wasn't sure if he should say it.
"Castalia filled me in on your.. extra curricular activities while I've been gone," Klaus finally said. I cringed to myself. "She said that you've turned into Mikael's.. lapdog." His face seemed angry.
"Was she spying on me?" I demanded, not directly answering his original question.
"I didn't ask," he shot back. "Parhaps you'd like to answer my question? I don't appreciate you dodging it.''
"There's nothing to answer to," I answered with a short breath. "Mikael compelled me to turn off my humanity and to stay with him."
"That bastard," Klaus spat angrily. I looked away from his expression.
I stayed quiet until I was able to come up with a good question. "Couldn't you -or any other Original- just compel me to ignore Mikael's compulsion?"
"It doesn't work like that, I'm afraid."
"Oh."
I sneaked a glance at him. "Can I tell the others that you're back?"
"Not yet," he shook his head. "The time isn't right."
I stopped walking. "But everyone thinks your dead! Rebekah and your siblings are grieving, when in fact, you're still bloody alive!"
"You're still capable of a bit of emotion; anger," Klaus mumbled to himself, then he smiled. "Look love, they'll know all in good time. I promise."
I pursed my lips.
He laughed, then took a step forward. "It can be our little secret," Klaus murmured. His hand touched my cheek. I shivered.
"I like the sound of that."
With a wide, yet cautious grin, he leaned in and pressed his lips to mine.
I didn't hesitate in kissing him back.
UNKNOWNS POV:
In the small ball in the middle of the room, my eyes flicker cautiously between the man and woman. They are kissing.
"Miss?" interrupted a quiet voice. I spin around.
''What is it, boy?" I asked in pure annoyance.
"I was just wondering if, you could perhaps share what your plan is with these two-" he pointed to the two in the ball, "lovers?"
I growl at the word lovers. "All will be revealed in good time. All in good time."
He squinted. "Yes, ma'am."
My head narrowed to the side. "All you need to know is that I have big plans for these two." A mysterious grin appeared on my lips. "Klaus and Caroline will never see it coming. They are mine."
