Dick's POV (same flashback as last chapter):
The explosion was massive, but left nothing destroyed. Well, if you can even call it an "explosion".
With my eyes squeezed shut, I could see and feel the warm beam of light that was the "explosion". A tingling sensation ran throughout my body, starting in the center of my chest, and then carried out to my limbs. With the tingling sensation still lingering in my head, I looked up. What I saw took my breath away.
The girl once holding the purple sphere-thingy was now 10 ft in the air. A purple, transparent globe of energy had grown and lifted the girl inside of it. The ball and the girl were rotating slowly.
Not a sound could be heard. I could feel the strong force of wind coming from the purple globe, but it wasn't even making a *whish-ing* sound.
When the girl was facing me, I got a better look. Her eyes were closed and she had no expression on her face. She must've been unconscious. Her arms were close to her sides, but her palms were outstretched away from her. Her hair was flowing freely around her with a mind of its own.
It was black. Just like mine.
Trapped in her haze, my eyes widened and I moved closer to examine more of her features. Three yards away from the purple bubble that engulfed her, I noticed that our hair actually held slight differences. Like the bubble around her, her hair was iridescent. Streaks of magentas and blues scattered throughout the black pieces of hair that were brushing past the sides of her face. I walked closer to examine her face.
I first noticed her lips. Parted ever so delicately, they looked velvety and plump, like fallen rose petals. Her nose, small and buttony, held tiny freckles. They scattered across her nose and cheeks and formed constellations. These constellations became a galaxy across her smooth cheeks. Her skin was warm and milky and she had a natural pinky rose flush. Her bone structure was defined. Her eyebrows were full and straight and matched the color of her eyelashes. Her thick eyelashes were so long they brushed the freckles on her cheeks. She was...
Beautiful.
And not the "beautiful" that's used to describe everything in those nature documents. She gave the word a new meaning. She was unique and a masterpiece full of purpose, like every one of her features had been placed on her face for a reason. Although she was imperfect with her hair floating around her, not a freckle or hair seemed out of place.
"Um. Earth to Robin!" Kid Flash said through my ear piece. "Do you know what's going on right now?" Wally asked.
"I-I uh... I-I'm not sure," I replied still stunned by what was taking place.
"Is she...alright? Do we need to, like... I don't know, get her down from there? Is she even gonna come down?" asked Artemis just as trapped in the haze as I was.
As if on cue, the girl's eyes flashed open and they were filled with a beaming light. Her hair flew up, moving in quick waves. The bubble began to shine brighter as it expanded.
"We need to get out of here, guys! It's gonna blow!" M'gann warned the team. Superboy picked up M'gann and set her down on her motorcycle as the rest of got on ours. At top acceleration, we fled and no one dared look back. Once off the field and onto the main road, we were about a half a mile from the bubble.
I turned to find the bubble had not yet exploded, but had grown blindingly bright so I quickly turned back around and continued to drive. I didn't look back again.
Not once.
(This chapter kinda sucked. I'm sorry guys hehe.)
