This is a story of how a little, tiny gray mouse helped a large, red dragon. Anyone can become friends with each other and everyone can help each other.
Once upon a time, there was a red and large dragon. It was the greatest flyer of all the dragons. It was in a flying contest and almost won until a blue dragon slammed into the red dragon and made the red dragon fall pass the clouds and into the ground.
The red dragon's wing bones were hurt, he couldn't fly back up to the sky. It then became sad but instead of crying, it looked around. It walked around with its four legs and used small tree branches to help keep his wing bone straight but it didn't have anything to wrap them with! At this point, the pain from the broken wing made the dragon sleepy so the dragon looked for a place to sleep.
After a few minutes, the dragon found a big, dark cave. There were a bunch of bats sleeping happily on the sides of the cave walls. The dragon pushed away rocks and curled up in a flat, smooth part of the cave to sleep. It wondered how it was going to fly back up and how it would heal its wing. Soon, the dragon fell asleep.
Once it was morning, a little, gray mouse came into the cave and saw the dragon's broken wing. It wondered how such a big and powerful dragon broke their wing. The mouse then had an idea and quickly ran out of the cave, not caring about how the dragon might eat it.
20 minutes later, the mouse came back with rolls of toilet paper and found out saw that dragon was awake! The mouse gasped in surprise.
The dragon looked straight at the mouse and asked, "Where is this? What are you doing with those strange items?"
It then squeaked, "Great Dragon, you are on the land of us smaller ones. These strange items are what humans call 'toilet paper rolls'. You can use them to wrap your broken wing. May I ask why your wing is broken?"
"Toy-lett...pay-purr...r-oh-lsz. Such strange words these are," the dragon thought aloud. "To answer your question, I was racing in the skies when another crashed into me and caused my fall. I believe it was on purpose."
The mouse squeaked in shock and apologized to the dragon as the dragon wrapped toilet paper around the tree branches. The mouse then curiously asked, "With respect, Great Dragon, why are you not eating me? I am only a small mouse and you are hungry."
The dragon told the mouse, "Little Mouse, you helped me with my wing. I of course would and could not eat you. Thank you," as it put the branches against the bones of the its wings and wrapped the toilet paper around its wing and the branches.
Little Mouse squeaked in reply, "You're welcome Great Dragon! It would be rude to not help you."
And so, after a few days, the mouse and dragon both became good friends. The mouse led the dragon around the small grassland and helped the dragon search for food. In return, the dragon never ate the mouse and helped it search for its food too. The dragon also scared off anyone who tried to eat the little mouse.
After a few weeks, the dragon's wings became better and could fly again.
"Great Dragon! Your wings are better now! You should go back up into the high clouds and be with your friends again!" Little Mouse squeaked, smiling.
Great Dragon chuckled, "Thank you, Little Mouse, for helping me heal my wing. After I go back up, I will not see you as much anymore. This saddens me so." The Great Dragon thought for a second then said, "I will come down to this green land once in awhile and visit you. The next time I come back down is the time where I will give you a gift for helping me."
Little Mouse gasped and said, "You do not need to give me any gifts!"
Great Dragon smiled at Little Mouse, "But I must. Remember that you also showed me hunting spots for food." Great Dragon flapped its wings and started to fly off, "Goodbye Little Mouse! Thank you for the help, my little friend!"
Little Mouse squeaked as loud as it could and said, "Goodbye my great friend!"
