Avery POV

I couldn't do nothing but blush and tell Jamal I like him too because it was the truth.

Aliyah was feeling salty ass hell because she tried to attack me again and I punched her to the ground.

"What did I ever do to you." she yelled dramatically

"Everything." I replied bluntly

"You could've taken the world from me but why Jamal? Huh?" she got up.

"I didn't take him sweet heart,he took me." I smirked

She ran up again swinging like her life depended on it and I swung at her face sending her to the ground once more and stomped her.

Her little sidekicks watched in amusement.

She started crying and I couldn't do nothing but laugh.

"Boohoo cry me a river so I can row the fuck away in it." I said walking off with Jamal right on my trail.

"Can I give you a ride?" he said stopping me in my tracks.

"Sure." I replied following him to his car.

I told him the directions to my house and before I got out he grabbed my wrist.

"Do you wanna make this official?" he asked waiting for the right answer.

"I don't know yet." I blushed

"I thought you liked me."

"I do, but its..  complicated." I admitted

"Can I at least have your number?" he asked

"Nah, if we see each other again I'll consider it."

"What about us? Where do we stand?" He questioned

"See you soon." I said running to my door never answering his question

I walked in the house and saw my mama slaving over the stove cooking in her all white robe.

I scared her with my presence.

"What the fuck you doing back home so early?" she questioned holding her chest.

"I got in a fight." I said grabbing a piece of the fried chicken she had laid out.

"Did you win?"

"Hell yea." I said looking at the chicken bones.

"Beans!!!" I yelled for my dog my dad bought me.

He ran to me wagging his little tail in excitement.

"You want the bones?, Go get it." I said throwing them to the other side of the room.

"Girl you need to watch you mouth and you ate yo daddy piece of chicken." she laughed.

"Wait daddy here? Like here- here." I asked in excitement.

"He at the store getting some more flour for the chicken." she explained.

"I was hoping that he moved in." I mumbled under my breath.

"He is sweety.. Very soon!" she said handing me a bag of bones and a dog leash.

"Feed him the rest of these and walk him to the park before he drop a load on my carpet."

I grabbed Bean's leash before hooking it to his collar.

"Come on boy." I said starting my journey to the park.

Beans barked at people and the only laughed at his small frame.

Little did they know, his teeth hurt like hell.

"Listen, you need to stop barking or else." I looked at him daring him to bark again.

I continued to walk him and I spotted Jamal sitting on a bench strolling through his phone and approached him.

"Hey."

"Hey baby girl." he licked his lips.

I blushed again feeling my cheeks reddened.

His face expression changed when he saw Beans growling at him.

I laughed and so did he and Beans pounced on him biting him everywhere. You would've thought his bites hurt but they only felt like hair clamps pinching your skin.

It was so funny so I took them a picture and removed Beans from him.

"Aggressive ass dog, what kind is it?" he questioned watching Beans pant with his tongue out.

"A chihuahua mixed with a shi tzu."

"You gon stop playing and let me get your number." he asked

I rolled my eyes before grabbing his phone and programming my number in it.

He smiled and kissed me.

I kissed him back deepening the kiss.

He broke the kiss and looked me in my eyes.

"You never answer my question." He said caressing my cheek.

"What question?"

"Where do we stand baby?" He asked.

"Jamal I like you a lot."

"Avery will you be my girl?" He questioned

"Yes Jamal."

We kissed once more.

"We got two more days and we'll be officially done with high school." I smiled to myself at the thought.

"You going to college?" he asked

"No I'm taking online classes you?"

"No, I got other shit planned."

"Beeeeeppppp!!!" someone honked their horn at us.

"AVERY WATCH OUT." was the last thing I heard before the world went black.
