I stretch out again and remembered; I. Have. School. Ughhhhhh! Yesterday, I found a strange book in my attic. It was titled 'Wizardology'. I decided to try one of the 'basic charms' in it today in science. Since Jess was in my class I sat next to her. When Mrs. Simons handed out the seeds, I quickly wrapped my paper around them.
"Hey Mika."
"Yeah?"
"What'cha doin'?"
"Nothing, I just thought the plant may like... Uhhhh, paper..."
"Um, okay then...?"
Jess gave me a confused look as Viki Downs pointed at me and laughed towards a group of her 'friends'. I nod in a reasurring tone reminding myself that all of those people are idiots.
I then dig a hole in the soil that I know is too big. That didn't stop me from tossing the paper and seeds into it. I then covered it in topsoil and adding way too much water.
"Woah, Mika! Your plant will never grow with that much water!"
"Says who?"
"Me."
"Wanna bet?"
"Sure, whoever's plant grows the tallest by the end of the experiment buys the other person a cookie at lunch for a week."
"Deal."
Why had I made that deal with Jess? Had I put that much faith in a flimsy piece of paper?
For the rest of the day, all I could think about was that stupid plant!
As I boarded the obnoxiously loud bus I heard some kids chatting and gossiping about s plat that had already sprouted. The only thought I had was 'it must me mine!' The next sentence tore all my hopes of that apart.
" I heard it was Viki's."
No. That's not possible. Viki didn't even plat one during class! She was chatting the whole time! She must've taken mine. The book warned me. I don't believe in that stuff but... Just in case...
When I arrived at my house, I saw my cat Felix with something in his mouth.
It was the book!
I chased his around the living room and through the hall. As he scampered down the stairs, I leaped for him and the book.
BAM!
With a loud crash and bang, I managed to get the book from my ferocious feline. I quickly examined the pages and saw nothing wrong with it. I sighed in relief.
"That was close."
"Wasn't it?"
Who said that.
I turned my head to look around. No one but Felix.
Wait, no one but Felix! Felix the cat was talking. To me.
This is too much to handle in one chapter!
A/N hi! I have been un active since July and would like to change that! Sorry for the long wait (I doubt anyone was waiting though hehe...) I hope you enjoyed!
