I wake up and don't recognize where I am. I look around and see Robbie on the windowsill and see Sonia asleep in a chair. I look around some more and see Gabe lying in a recliner fast asleep. I try readjust my position but feel pain. A sharp intake of breath from me alerts Robbie and he looks my way. He gets up and quickly comes to me.

He whispers,"Hey, hey. Calm down. You're safe. We're at a hospital."

I nod and he says,"You're going to need to rest for a while. That Loco got you good."

I motion for water and he gets me a cup of water and a straw. I sip the water slowly and when I'm done, Robbie sets the cup down.

I whisper,"I'm sorry. I should have heard him."

Robbie shakes his head and says,"Don't you apologize. It wasn't your fault."

He leans down and presses his forehead against mine. He frames my face with his hands as he looks in my eyes.

He says,"I almost lost you last night. I don't want that to happen again."

I reply,"It won't."

Robbie asks,"Please, stay home next time I go out."

Reluctantly, I agree. Robbie places a kiss against my forehead and I grip his hand. My wedding ring glitters under the hospital lights and I smile.

I whisper,"I told you on that day that you couldn't get rid of me so easily. I was right."

I look up at Robbie to see him smile down at me.

He says,"You were right about that."

He leans down and says,"And I'm really glad that you were."

I tilt my head up and his lips capture mine. His lips are soft against mine. I pull away as a throat clears to find my sister awake.

I say,"Hey, sis."

She takes a deep breath about to go into a rant that will make her voice rise but I stop her.

I say,"You raise your voice and wake up Gabe, I won't hesitate to tell them to put you in a psych ward."

She shuts her mouth and sighs.

She says,"I'm glad you're ok."

I smile and say,"I've told you people that it takes a lot to put me down."

I look over at Gabe and notice it's daylight turning to dusk.

I ask,"Did he go to school?"

Robbie replies,"Yeah. Reluctantly."

I smile and say,"I want to go home but I don't want to wake him."

Robbie pats my knee and I say,"Carry him to the Hellcharger and go home. I'll be fine by myself. Besides I'm tired anyway."

Robbie asks,"Are you sure?"

I nod and say,"Yeah, babe. I'll see you guys, tomorrow."

Robbie gives me one quick kiss before going over to Gabe. He picks Gabe up carefully and Sonia hugs me. I hug her back and she grabs Gabe's wheelchair and follows Robbie and a sleeping Gabe out of the room. I sigh and I hear footsteps coming in my direction. I sit up and Senator Naidir comes in with a man holding a briefcase.

I say,"Senator."

She replies,"Hello, Alexandra."

I ask,"Why are you here and how do you know me?"
