I was running. For my life as it would seem. There was this dark feeling of desperation that I knew all too well but never wanted to feel again. Everything around me was dark and hazy and even though I ran like a bat out of hell, I never felt so sluggish in my life.

What's going on? Who or what am I running from? All I knew was I had to keep running, I had to get there in time but fucking where!

Then I saw her.

Oh no. No, no, no, no, no. This won't be happening, I won't be going through this again. I tried to tear my gaze away from the crumpled figure on the wet ground but it's like I didn't have a mind of my own. Where's your fucking self control when you need it?

"Cadrian..."

Wake up, Cadrian. You know this isn't real so Wake. The fuck. Up! Even though I was going through this obvious struggle, my feet kept running like it was somehow disconnected from the rest of my body. The figure raised her head, staring at me with the same heartbreaking expression she had the last time I ever saw her. Finally I reached her, collapsing to my knees. I gazed down at her, tears streamed down my face and breathed out one word.

"Mom.."

I shot up in a flash, light trembles going through my body. Slowly I fought my way through the sleep induced hazed and realized what woke me up. My annoying, once thought of as a good idea but now I'm cursing myself for buying it, alarm clock was blaring its head off with no regard for someone who just went through a nightmare. Sighing, I leaned over to turn it off when I actually looked at the time.

No, that can't be right....

When the time finally dawned on me I shot out of the bed for totally different reasons this time and started pacing around like a headless chicken, not knowing where to start first.

" Fuck, fuck, fuck, Fuck!"

Damen, who I had totally forgotten was in the room lifted his head up wearily and shut the still blaring alarm clock off. He layed his head on the bed with his eyes still closed and sighed a knowing, long sigh.

"Leotard."

Right! I raced across the room and grabbed my leotard out of my dresser and tore my pjs off, throwing on the skin tight leotard. Ok, I have my leotard, now I need...

"Pointe shoes."

Of course! I went to the closet and grabbed my practice shoes and slipped them on, also grabbing my pointe shoes just in case we might need them. With everything I needed, I jumped up and ran towards the door, throwing a quick "See ya," over my shoulder at Damen. I didn't see Cece in bed so she must have already left. Little fucker didn't think to wake me up?!

I was halfway down the hall when I stopped. Shit! Racing back down the hall back to my room, I quickly threw open my door... Only to run face to chest into Damen.

" Shit Damen."

Damen was leaning against the wall, holding up my pullover and my sheer skirt.

" Missing something?"

I gave him a quick glare and snatched my clothes before racing back down the halls.

" Break a leg!" I heard Damen call out and smiled wryly to myself. With my luck, I just might.

" I know this is not your first year for some of you so I expect the same, if not more, dedication from people who have danced in my class before. You know what to expect. First years don't. Be a leader and show them what proper etiquette looks like when you're in my class. Now, first I wa- "
