P.S. If my twitter name looks familiar, it's because Jake Pitts mentioned me on twitter on March 9th. BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. Ok now...READ.

Brynn waited outside the school, feeling like a dark cloud in a blue sky the next morning. She made the decision to tough it out and go to school that day, partially because of what had happened the day before. It wasn't something she wanted to experience again, having fear of a random bully that just wanted a laugh for himself. School was like a mental institution for her. Once you're in, it sucks like hell, but at least you're safe from anything on the outside that wanted to hurt you.

The other reason she wanted to actually endure a grueling 6 1/2 hours of education was to simply see someone.

Jinxx.

Her eyes scanned the crowd for a boy with long black hair, probably easier to find than your average student at Wilson High School. But unfortunately, she couldn't find him. She debated with herself if she should go back p to the soccer field, where she saw him the first time, but the bell rang and student were already filing inside to go to their lockers and start class. She made her way inside and upstairs to gather her books for all her morning classes. As she approached her locker, she saw who she had been looking for the minute she stepped onto school grounds.

"Hey," he said as she walked over.

"Oh, hi," she said not looking him straight in the eye, suddenly feeling very insecure around him. It was almost as if she didn't even feel worthy of being in his presence. He was everything perfect, and she was...just Brynn.

As Jinxx stepped out of her way to give her access to her locker, she saw the big, black words written on her locker. "DIE".

"I tried to get it off but it must be sharpie, that stuff is meant to last through an apocalypse, I swear."

"Oh, thanks. It's fine though, I'm used to it," she said, truthfully. It would be lie if she said she didn't expect it or wasn't used to it. She could probably just bring in some nail polish remover and get it of.

"So," Brynn began. "Your locker is next to mine, I see."

"Yeah. At least it can give me a chance to get to know you better," he said with a charming smile.

"Yep," she laughed, returning the smile. "I've got to go though. I'll try to find you at lunch, I guess. No offense but these people aren't going to want to even come near you."

"None taken. I actually have got four of my friends here with me too. We all dropped out together," he laughed. "Those we're good times. Don't worry though, they'll like you. But just a fair warning, Andy and Ashley don't have any idea what 'no PDA' means. The rest of us have gotten used to it, but I'm just letting you know ahead of time, don't mind them."

"Oh. Um, okay then. I'll see you later." She smiled and waved at him as she made her way down the hall to her first class; biology.

As she walked into class, all eyes were on her, not that she tried to get attention. It's human instinct to automatically look at the girl with the black leather jacket and combat boots, the one who was "weird".

They're the weird ones, she thought. They just can't see that some people aren't the same.

She took her usual seat in the back of the class, next to the hazy window that let cold air in during the winter, and couldn't keep it in during the summer. As the teacher started to ramble on about a lab that they we're doing later in the week, Bynn's attention floated elsewhere. She, with no trigger at all, started thinking of her father. Ford Eric Alexander Ross ruined her life, and she wanted to write that name on a piece of paper and burn it until all that was left were ashes. She felt so angry, yet sad at the same time. Both emotions came upon her so quickly and heavily that she suddenly felt vulnerable, which lead her to being scared. The last time she had felt like this was when..
