Ryder and Leila walked into the conference room together to see that Voisin, Spell-master Domingo, Mr. Cleveland, Rachel, Samir, Kyle, and Dalia were already in the room discussing the plans for a rescue mission. They had left Chelsea behind to keep guard of Nathan and Marcus's rooms to prevent them from trying to accompany them on a rescue mission in their condition. Leila wasn't in much better shape, but she knew she would have to suck it up being the only one able to bypass anti-apparition wards.

"Kyle, Rachel, go help Chelsea tend to the injured," Voisin ordered.

"But sir!" Kyle protested earning a glare from Voisin.

"Come on Kyle," Rachel urged. Kyle clenched his fists, hesitating for a moment as he studied the others in the room. He let out an annoyed huff as he exited the room with Rachel following him.

Voisin sighed as he watched Kyle leave sensing Derek was on his way down the hall right now. He really didn't need Derek interfering, but it was no use to go without him to rescue the boy's brother. The kid would be stupid enough to go on his own if they tried stopping him. Voisin glanced up to see Derek had appeared in the hallway with Brie behind him peeking out from over his shoulder.

"I am going to rescue my brother if you like it or not!" Derek snapped as his eyes narrowed in on his own father in the room.

Mr. Fitzgerald was about to protest but was topped by Voisin who grabbed his arm, pulling him back down to a sitting position. Voisin sighed as his eyes narrowed in on Derek, a frown appearing on his lips as he spoke.

"Yes, we were just discussing the mission. It has been decided that I will accompany you along with Spell-master Domingo and Leila," Voisin sighed.

"You know this rescue mission is a trap," Mr. Fitzgerald warned eying Voisin.

"I am well aware. That is why we can use Derek. Don't worry, I will keep him in control," Voisin replied.

"Sir, please let me join. My casting speed can be of use in a pinch," Samir muttered as he glanced over at Voisin.

"Samir!" Dalia cried. Samir sighed shaking his head as he glanced back over at Dalia. There was no use arguing with him. He wasn't going to sit back when his skills could be of use.

"Yes, we could use you," Voisin nodded.

Voisin studied his team of Wizards he had assembled. Two of his top mentalists, a young Wizard prodigy, himself, and Spell-master Domingo would make for a powerful team. He hoped Derek and Leila would be able to work well together in battle. In class exercises in the past, the two of them never paired well together. Neither of them did a good job reading each other and spent more time arguing than finding solutions to work together. Domingo and he weren't the best pairing, but they had fought together in the past and knew each others strengths and weaknesses. Samir was new and he hadn't been able to evaluate the boy yet, but he had saved Leila's life earlier that day and the two had good compatibility in their reading of each other. He was confident that Leila and Samir would work well to cover each other's backs. That left Derek without a partner. However, Derek didn't need a partner to fight. He did fine by himself.

"S-s-sir, p-p-please let me assist!" Brie stuttered as she pushed her way to stand in front of Derek.

Derek glanced down at her in shock that she was willing to assist. Voisin narrowed his eyes studying the girl. He knew she was a former task force member, working on the most lethal unit that Bethany had selected of some very powerful wizards. She was young, but she was ruthless in battle. Not only could she raise the dead with ease, she had a natural knack for creating wards and runes in battle. He knew she was able to combine some complex wards together in a matter of seconds. Most wizards would take hours to perform the same combinations as this girl and very few ever dreamed of reaching her level. Voisin was aware that though she may betray all of them, they could use her to get through the castle defenses with ease.
