Be aware of what you're feeling. Some examples to notice are: Helpless, guilty, and out of energy.
Figure out why you feel this way. Sometimes it can just be for no reason, and that's normal. There doesn't have to be something happening, it's just a constant feeling. Try and look at these things, it might help make sense of what you're feeling.
Genes. If depression runs in your family, there's probably more of a chance you getting depressed to.
Medication. Some medicines have depression as a side-effect. Look at the side-effects of any medication you're taking.
Hormonal Imbalance. Puberty sucks, but it might also be what's causing these feelings. There's also thyroid issues that could be a possibility.
There's also situational causes. Maybe you lost a loved one or a friend. Or your relationship with your significant other didn't work.
But there are options!
You are the one that has to get information on it though.
Talk to your parents, or a trusted adult at your school. There are anti-depressants that really work. It may take a little bit to find which one works for you, but in the end you'll find the right one for you.
Start a journal.
Writing is my best friend. It helps get all of my thoughts down without anyone knowing except for me, and if there is a time when I need help expressing what I'm feeling, then there's my journal because I have what I feel written down in clear ways that I understand.
No one can control what you write, where you write, when you write. That's why I love it so much.
