It's the next day. I quickly got out of bed so I can be ready when my teacher comes over for my lesson. Before I did that, I rushed to my window and pulled over the curtains, there she was. Brushing her hair while dancing crazily. I laughed as she tripped over something on her floor. I stared in awe for a couple more minutes, until she looked my way. My heart nearly jumped out my chest. We looked straight into each other's eyes before looking away quickly. "I can't believe that just happened." I whispered to myself. Luckily my teacher came over in time to keep my mind off of what just happened. "Now before I leave, I want to give you this worksheet to practice your Algebra, I hope to see it finished when I come back on Monday, understand?" My teacher said. I nodded and took the worksheet that was handed to me. 30 questions, ugh. After she left, I started some of the questions so I wouldn't have a workload to do over the weekend. Expanding and Simplifying letters and numbers made me tired. I placed the half-done paper on my side table, grabbed a cardigan and headed out for a stroll around my street. I know, I know, you may think it's pretty dangerous for me to go out without a bodyguard, I've done this many times and I'm still here. The birds chirping and the light summer breeze whispering to the trees calmed my spirit. It made me forget about everything, at least for a while. I walk through the park, kids from 3 to 6 years play with new and close friends while parents meet and have a chat. Dogs run around trying to catch the ball or frisbee their owners threw for them, some running back and jumping excitedly on their beloved masters or meeting new furry friends. Teens around my age sit under the cool trees chatting and gossiping about who did what in school, or what this teacher said about the other. I looked and wondered what it would be like to go to a public school, instead of being alone in a quiet and large room with a teacher I can't really talk about things to. I wonder what it would be like to have friends, normal teens, who have never walked on a red carpet or have to be alerted and watch out for paparazzi when going out, friends that truly wants to be your friend instead of low-key trying to get together with your superstar brother or try to get your celeb parents to get their parents fame or to work with them. That's it! Maybe I can convince my parents to enroll me into a proper school, so I can see what it's really like being normal. I walked a couple minutes more and quickly turned back to the path that lead to my house, hopefully my parents would be back from work by the time I've arrived. "No. No, no, no!" Mom shook her head. "Please mom, I'm tired of being trapped in this house with no friends and a teacher that only comes over to get paid!" I said in frustration. I looked over to my dad for his input, he shrugged, "I think it's a good idea, we can talk to the principle of the school we choose and see what happens from there.". Mom sighed and stared at me for a second or two. "Erm, I- I guess you're right... There's a high school down the street where we can start.". I started jumping up and down like a child who just got bag of candy. "Thanks mom and dad!" I kissed them both and ran upstairs to call my cousin and best friend Gia. "You what?!" She yelled through the phone. "Mom and dad are going to talk to the principal of the school down the street and make arrangements" I replied. She sighed and stayed quiet. "Gia, c'mon, I want to do this, the least you can do is support me." We talked for a couple more minutes before hanging up. While I was on the phone, I heard Nathan arrived home from his concert so I decided to talk to him to hear his input on my decision. I opened his bedroom door to find my brother stretched out on the bed, snoring. Instead of being a nice sister and let him sleep, I started to hit him across the head with pillows. "Dylan, stop!" He mumbled trying to shield himself from the pillows. "Wake up! I need to talk to you!" I yelled. I stopped and waited for his response, snores, that's all I got. We'll talk later then... I thought and exited his room and headed back to mine. After minutes of not knowing what to do, I turned straight to my window. I look through her window and was surprised to see what was stuck to it. "You're cute" . Me? Was that meant for me? I rushed closer to window to examine the note. I nearly fell over my desk chair when she came into her bedroom, took down the note and smile broadly to me and waved. How did she know I was looking? Why is she waving, and smiling at me?! I sheepishly waved back with a weak smile, I started to feel uncomfortably hot, my face turns fiery red, my heart thumping on my chest, my intestines started to knot up. She started to giggle and pulled across her curtains. I dropped into my desk chair, thank God it was there or I would've fainted. She said you're cute, Dylan!! She said you ARE cute!! I thought over and over in my head. I was so stunned and lost in thought that I didn't realized my mom came in my room and SAW everything. "Dylan?!" She shrieked. I tried to ignore her and not turn around to face her, I'm so embarrassed! "My baby girl has a crush? With our neighbors' daughter?'" She said excitedly. "Mom.." I mumbled. Before I could've said or done anything, she ran up to me and hugged me so tightly I thought I was going to die right there and then. "My baby's getting so big!!" For every word she said I was hugged even tighter. Finally, I was free and felt as if it was my first time breathing. "Anyway, um... We called and made arrangements with Mr. Stevens, is that his name? I think so. He said you can come in for your first day tomorrow, to see what it's like." She was trying really hard not to smile, she kissed my forehead and rushed out of my room. Oh gosh... I got and fell face first on my bed.
