Chapter Three: Part 3

Bailey's POV~

Well, that was something else.

Tears are pouring down my cheeks, my eyes most likely bloodshot. I want to scream, but I don't want them to find me. I don't want anyone to find me. I'm tired. So, so tired.

After Rayne and I got to school, the day went by pretty fast until lunch came along. That's when I saw Gabe. He only came to lunch. I didn't see him in any other class.

So, this is what happened...

*Flashback to lunch*

I beam as I walk into the lunchroom, hand in hand with Rayne. I peck his cheek lightly before sitting down at my usual table, waiting for Gabe to show up.

After getting my food I come back to the table and see Gabe there with his face in his hands. I hurriedly set my food down before going over to him and as I go to rub his back he abruptly moves away from me, leaving me in shock.

"Stay away from me!" He shouts at me. Huh? "Why the fuck did it have to be him?! I've liked you so much! For so long! And you're mated to my Alpha?! Why?!" He yells louder than before, causing everyone to shut up and stare at us. My eyes are wide and my mouth is open as I look at him surprised.

"Wh-wh-what d-do you mean?" I stutter as my eyes well up with tears. Why is he being so mean? I don't understand.

He smirks at me slightly, "I like you, Bailey. I thought you finally liked me back. I was going to ask you out after school yesterday, but, since you obviously don't like me and you now have a mate, I guess I'll just leave. Sorry for bothering you." Gabe whispers as he stands up, visibly holding back tears. I stand up as well and reach out to grab his arm, but he moves away, and while doing so, he does the one thing he promised me that he'd never do... He slaps me.

Before he can apologize, I run away, down a random hallway, and just my luck, I run into Junipher, that whore that decided to make a move on Rayne, with her friends.

"Watch it you bitch! I don't want to get some disease from your obviously disgusting, used body!" She smirks evilly at the two girls with her, "Hey girls, help me remind him that he's not worthy of my mate's attention."

One of the girls looks me up and down revulsion written on her face, "Excuse me, fag, but you're way too fucking ugly to be gaining attention from Junipher's lover and mate. Someone should really put you out of your misery. He's just messing with you because he would never be with something as ugly, disgusting, used, and nerdy as you."

The other girl laughs, "And besides, even if he was actually mates with you, he would reject you like that," she says 'that' as she snaps her fingers, "because he wouldn't want anyone after fucking three hot chicks last week." She says happily as she winks at Junipher and the other one, making them all snicker.

I can't take this anymore. I think as I quickly run out of the school and into the woods behind it. I run quickly and stop when I start to get tired.

*Flashback over*

And now here I am, bawling my eyes out up in a tree, trying to hide from everything.

A twig suddenly breaks and I look down to see the most beautiful wolf that I have ever seen. The wolf looks up and spots me, making eye contact with me. His eyes are as gorgeous as I remember. The amber sparkling brightly in the sun.
