THE SEARCH CONTINUES

We got into berry's truck and I told him where we can go to rent a place to sleep for the time until we find cloe so that we can go home where it is save

"Here's your phone it was dead so I let the hospital charge it for you"

I switched on my phone and as soon as it was a unknown number phoned I picked it up

"Hello who is this? "

A deep and dark voice said

"If you ever want to see her again meet me at lovers peek"

And the he hung up

We arrived at the lodge where we were going to stay me and Barry walked in but there was nobody at reception

I walked around to the back door  on the deck there was rusty busy  stitching up a dog that got hurt rusty was also the park sheriff around here

"Wait here Barry"

"Hello you must be rusty? "

"Hello yes and you are John green? "

"Yes I am" I replied with a smile

"Will you go get the page on the reception table just fill it in with all your details please"

"Yes I will be right back"

I got the paper from the desk and filled it in just like rusty asked

I ran back to rusty and put the page next to him on the table and he gave me the key

"Can you tell me how to get to lovers peak please"

"Yes it is easy just follow the path down the road and just follow the directions it will lead you to lovers peak"

"Thank you rusty apriciate it" I looked down to the dog sow a name tag that said "Toby"
"Stay strong Toby you'll be better soon"rubbing his head i walked away back to Barry

We went to our cabin and just as we entered Barry said

"we must call the cops or the FBI"

"Dammit Barry they'll kill her he said to come alone"

"Okay okay your my best friend but I am worried about you tell me what to do and I'll do it to help"

"You stay here if I am not back by morning you call the Cavalry"

I followed the pathway down the hill just at a turn there was a street lamp a save haven for me to catch my breath I ran with everything I had to the street light and just as I went to stand under it it burst the earth shook beneath my feet I quickly went on the the next light that was about 500 meters away from the first one I tried to stay in the light and out of the darkness as long as possible

Just as I reached the light I had a vision it was of cloe screaming it looked like she was being dragged under water near some stairs and there was an old typewriter as well

The vision leaved me weak

"Noo ahhh"

"Rusty ? Rusty ! Hold on rusty I am coming"

"Oh GOD no please help me"

The parked looked like a mess as if there was a storm that went through it

I ran to where I heard his voice there was bloody dragged marks on the floor

I spotlighted rusty with the flashlight

"Mr green? "

"Oh hell rusty what happened ?"

"It happend just like that page said it would happen.....it will come back for me.......for you.....the lights....in my office I have the keys"

"Okay rusty I'll be right back hang on"

Rusty knew what was going on......he found a page of the manuscript it would help me understand what was going on

The only way to make sure rusty was save was to get the power running and the lights on I ran to his office unlocked it went to the back room someone had hit the main switch board  with an axe there was no way the power or the lights was coming on now I ran back to rusty as fast as I possibly could

I heard rusty screaming in aginising pain and just as I wanted to enter the building where rusty was three takens (shadow people) come right in front of me with axes I pointed my light at them and start to shoot them one by one before they could even reach me

Now with them gone I entered the building sprinting to rusty but he wasn't there anymore but now there was a huge hole in the wall that leads on to the path way to lovers peak I went outside to look for rusty but he was nowhere to be seen just as I started to walk to the path way rusty poped up

Noo the shadows got to him they made him one of them he's a taken now and out to get my blood just like the rest with a heavy heart I pointed the flashlight towards him and I shot three shots which only twee hit him he was faster than the rest of the takens I eventually killed him as well

I got onto the path again and followed it I eventually came across a old skeelift I took it down the mountain and just halfway down the power cut of the lift stopped for a few seconds in mid air and suddenly flew down to the end of the skeelift it hit the ground and I flew over the railings of the skee lift and fell on the ground on my stomach my flashlight and gun fell out of my hand right in front of me stood three takens I tried to reach for my flashlight one of the takens had put his foot on it so that I couldn't get it I knew that this is it they was going to kill me and just as the taken swang with his axe to my head a flare landed right next to me the light of the flare burned them dead imidantly I looked up there stood a man all camoed up

"Come on we got to get moving more of them coming......that flashlight is kids stuff get the flares from the emergency box's "

"Can you see them ?" I had asked

"Ha ha ha of course I can "

"I lost my gun back there "

"Don't worry I have it....you just aim the flashlight to them and I'll do the shooting"

I knew this guy from somewhere after a while I realised he was the strange man that was with us on the fairy ride he must be the kidnapper

I followed him to an old bruge that was shut with wooden bords

"Here use the flare gun to hold them of while I get this open"

"Just give me the gun"

"Hahaha sorry no can do green"

I held them of with the flashlight and the flare gun while he opened up the board's

And just as they were upon us he got it opened pulled me in and shot all the takens
We continued to follow the path at the end of the path there was a sign that said "lover's peak"

He continued to walk onto a deck that looked out onto a river

"Let's cut the act now where's my wife? "

"I knew you were going to say that I read it all before your an hell of a written congratulations
Your going to bring  about something glorious and terrible once we get you some....proper editorial controle "

"What the hell are you talking about ? Where's cloe? "

"I want the entire script or she's.....going to suffer badly"

"If you touch her I'll"

I hit him right through the wooden railings onto the ground we both fell to the ground he let go of his gun once he fell I went to reach for it 

He sow I got the gun and ran into the forest

"You'll give me the manuscript or you'll be sorry" he yelled as he ran of

I ran after him "no come back here I swear I'll kill you if you hurt cloe do you hear me! Come back here! "

He had cloe and he wanted the manuscript because he thought it held some sort of magical powers but I had no manuscript to give him

I had to get back to berry and figure out my next move
