A few days passed, sorrow still existed in the families without a sign of it fading away. Detective Simon was hired to investigate the case.

He called all of the people present in  the funeral as he suspected one of them being the killer.

They all sat in a room which consisted of chairs and two doors one of them was the exit and the other was the entrance to another room. Alpha, Hannah and Tyler were sitting nervously with the others.

There was utter silence in the room except for the ticking of the clock as one by one people were called in the other room. Minutes passed, with everyone having one question, what are they going to do with us?

By the time, Alpha's turn came her nails had been bitten raw till the beds and nervousness surrounded her.

She entered the room which was like a cellar, it consisted of a table, two chairs and a machine. Detective Simon was sitting on one of the chairs controlling the machine. He motioned Alpha to sit on the chair infront of him.

She sat down as Det. Simon attached wires on her hands. Her hands were shaking to keep herself calm she asked him, "What are these wires?"

"These will determine if you are lying or not. I will ask you a series of questions and you will answer them honestly. All okay?" He said sitting on  his chair, she nodded.

"What is your name?" He asked with a notebook and pen in hand.

"Alpha Rose Charles," she said confidently.

"What is your age?"

"20".

"Do you have any association with Tyler and Hannah?"

"Yes. Tyler was my best friend and Hannah has just been an acquaintance."

"Oh I see. Do you possess knives?" He said with his brow up.

"Yeah. Obviously who doesn't have knives." He seemed a bit confused. "How could I chop my vegetables without a knife?"

He gave a laugh, Alpha just smiled at her little joke. "I am talking of this particular knife." He placed a knife on the table, Alpha took it in her hands and examined it carefully. It had a firm grip, a shiny and a curved blade, with a Dragon carved on it.

"No, I don't but I would like to possess it." She said placing it on the table.

"Do you have any hatred towards the Todd and Johnson family?"

"Well," she hesitated for a while. "I do have hatred for the Todd family because I am jealous of Hannah."

"Why?"

"Because she is going to marry Tyler."

"Okay." He said slowly and scribbled something in the notebook. "Lastly, do you know how to throw knives?"

"Yeah. I and Tyler attended this summer camp who taught us to throw knives. Did he tell you about it?"

"Yes he did." He walked up to Alpha and removed the wires. "I guess you are done. Thank you for speaking the truth."

"I always speak the truth." She walked out of the room and went home.

At an abandoned house was the murderer's lair. He moved around the room planning its next move. When a man entered the room.

"Ha! Robert what have you got for me?" He said sitting on its chair.

"The detective will soon find out about you and we both will be in trouble." He said.

"So you want to leave?" He said with one brow up.

"No, I was telling you about it. I don't want to leave."

"How will he find about us Robert?" He said with an evil laugh.

"I know you and I had beat the machine by being calm, but the detective is the finest one in the country. He has captured way powerful people than us." Robert was shaking.

"My dear, Robert." He walked up to him and touched Robert's shoulders with both of its hands. "No one can catch me, it is completely impossible. So don't worry."

"How can we-"

"Shh.....shh." He placed a finger on its mouth. "Calm down, Robert. Tonight your worries will be all over." He said with a smirk.

It was raining cats and dogs outside Simon's house. The rain tapped on the roof as the thunder stroke. He was examining the the clues and the observations he had today.

Just then, he realized that the killer was sitting just infront of him and it actually defyed the machine by remaining calm. All those thoughts clouded him when the lights went out. He opened the drawer and took to his gun out, loaded it ready to be used. He stealthily went through the doors when he heard a glass break in the kitchen. He went silently in the kitchen as a voice said, "Oops." He aimed where the voice came and shooted. "Miss,"someone said with an evil, soft laugh.

"Whoever you are come out! Stop being a coward." He shouted.

"I am right behind you." Someone whispered. He turned around no one.

"Come to me. Your death awaits." Someone sang slowly with a devilish smirk. "Really sorry, you are the prey." This time a whisper. "Turn around." As he turned around he was greeted by a dagger in his heart which bursted by the touch of the razor, sharp object. He fell lifeless as his surrounding began to melt and body became numb. He fell on the ground as blood made its way through its oesophagus and came out from his mouth and ears like a flood and surrounded him.

The evil laugh now echoed through the whole house as the killer left the house and disappeared into darkness.
