Aphmau is my alpha

Hehehe.

It took me a second to realize he was closer. It was if he had teleported. Forehead against mine.

My fingers closed around the clasp to his cloak. The other hand hit his  chest with a slow force, tentative, not really sure the touch was welcome. His pointer finger was behind my ear and the other hand was on the small of my back.

I noticed little signs of a hardcore video game nerd from this close up. He smelled like magic and metal, an odd combo, with a hint of dirt and an oily smell that smelled almost like fish oil. Aside from that, he was really just normal. The tri-force was stamped on his tie and the clasp I was holding I had seen in UNDERTALE, the Dreamurr symbol.

"Well'' I said, remembering his question at last. "I mean, if you want to...''

He did. He smelled really good and now I know what magic tastes like. It felt good to fly with the dragon. His cloak flapped to the ground and I realized just how tight I squeezed the clasp.

His arms were strong.

''OH MY GOD KATANA ARE YOU OKAY?!? I HEARD WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY I AM SO SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'' Kate screams.

Kipper looks me over and says, ''I'm not sure how you managed to do that to Beast, but they really beleive he fell out of the window, and now he's in the hospital...''

"Well, Hydra helped.'' They suddenly look slightly frightened.

"Oh.'' Kate says.

"My boyfriend.''

Kate, Kipper, and the newly arrived Mace stare at me with this expression that was almost comical. Like I had said I was actually the opposite gender and had a thing for Kate.

"Did.... what.... uh....'' Kate forgot how to use English.

"There's a prom and Aaron hasn't asked Aphmau.'' Kipper announces like the angel of death.

Everyone starts talking at once and continues until I scream ''SHUT UP!''

Good thing Hydra was there to reel everyone in.

"Hey pup.'' he says, fingertips brushing mine. "What's up?''

I explain the situation.

"What's the plan?'' he asks.

"Oh, I have one in mind...''

We each slipped a flyer to Aphmau and Aaron and I had Kipper and Mace hold back the werewolf boys asking Aphmau but some slipped through. I threatened each one I came across, but the looks Aaron gave made me look like Dora the explorer.

Mace and Hydra slipped a courage potion into Aaron's food to see if it would help him ask her out. "My magic is strong, but I'm still a simple spellcaster.'' I kiss him on the nose and it startles him. "It's okay, you did your best!'' I say.

It's late, but Hydra got dressed and came out to help me.

"No cloak?''

"It would just get in the way.

I sigh. "Mom would kill me.''

"Then me.'' and we're both grinning.

Despite it being pretty creepy, we peek through Aaron's window because Mace has no boundaries and followed Aaron home.

"I cast a spell on the window, so Aaron won't spot us. By the way, that's Aphmau's calculator, I should know, I have math with her and she's constantly pulling it out.

(grins.)

I laugh and pull up my hand to break his window.

"woah you can't just break the window.''

"sure I can!''

"What I mean is you shouldn't. Simply open it a crack and i'll get him to notice it with magic.''

"okay.''

He puts a rock on the windowsill and closed the window. He uses some kind of telekinetic force and moves it onto the calculator .

"Okay, I put the same spell on the rock as I do my clothes at school. He'll see an eraser so it's less conspicuous. I'll use a little something to get it to hit him in the face because that's all I can come up with.'' he flicks his finger out and I hear Aaron  say ''ouch.'' he looks at the direction it flew from and notices the calculator. His eyes soften. "Oh.'' he says softly and closes his eyes.

Then, with a look of pure DETERMINATION, he grabs the calculator and books it.

"Go get your girl.'' Hydra whispers.

Hydra said there were stars in my eyes as Aaron handed Aphmau the calculator. He said it was my own version of magic eyes. He said they were the most beautiful when he walked me home, his warm hand over mine.

He hugs me at the front step of my home. "My mission is complete.'' I whisper.

"Not quite yet. There's still prom. You have to make sure it's a success. Don't worry, I will be with you.''

I smile. He smells good.

"Hey Katana'' Kate says, and I tell her what happened then and there.

She was speechless.

"we stood on my front porch for an hour hugging.''

Dumbfounded.

"Then he walked me right past mom up to my room and tucked me in and gave me a good night kiss. Then he jumped out my window.''

Her jaw dropped. And her fangirling made me pull my ears back and give a whine.

"Sorry.'' she says.

Mace scampers up snickering. He does this a lot so I don't question it too much until he claims he knows a secret will be arriving any minute.

Kipper comes up, pulling his blue pine tree hat down over his Kawaii cat ears and says ''Hello.''

Then Comes Hydra, like a god. "Hey, pup.'' he says. He has this look on her face like, ''I have a plan, today is going to either be a really good day or a really bad day.'' he gives me a hug, and his hand runs down my back...

"Did you just try to mark me?''

He grins ''Did it work?'' ''no.'' He tries two more times before he gets it.

"Surprise.'' Mace says.''

"That's... super weird.'' Kipper says.

Hydra looks over at him. "You don't thing that was weird for me?''

Kipper grins. "No.'' and Mace laughs. "He enjoyed it.''

The bell rings.
