We woke up early in the morning and headed for a walk into the woods. Julia was the first to suggest a game.

  "Whoever gets dinner first wins!"

I looked at her with a grin.

  "You're on!"

We both started to track, but then I got a bad feeling. The woods was a beautiful place, but also very dangerous. I grabbed Julia's arm and ducked behind a tree.

  "Hey what's the big idea!"

  "Sh! We are being followed"

  "By what? Sam?"

  "Run!"

Once we started to run, a creature sprung up from behind the trees. It looked like a big dog, with green skin it used for camo, and had leaves all over it. Whatever it was I had no intention of getting closer to find out. Then Julia tripped and I caught up to her.

  "What's wrong? Get up!"

  "My foot is caught!"

  I sighed, "Of coarse!"

I pulled of my bow and aimed for the ceases leg to slow it down. It let out a shriek and crashed in to the ground, snapping at its leg to get the arrow out. I grabbed my sword and started striking at the branch that had Julia's foot caught. While I was cutting away the creature had plucked the arrow from its leg and started to move towards us again. It started into a sprint, but then was attacked by another animal. At first we watched in amazement, until Julia punched my arm to hurry up. She was finally free.

  "Come on Sam!"

At this point the green creature was attacking the one that had saved us.

"You go ahead I will caught up!"

"What? I am not leaving you!"

"Just go I can handle this!"

I switched to my bow again and aimed for its neck. The arrow struck and the creature turned to look at me, it started to sprint towards me. It was too quick and ran its claws down my back. I let out a scream and hit the ground rolling away from its second blow. My bow had flown out my hand and was out of reach. Plus the creature that had saved us the first time had ran away so I was all by myself. The creature turned around and was slowly making its way back towards me slowly. I started to crawl backwards trying to get away and the creature leaped. I slide to the side, but the creature clawed my arm. I was completely defenseless and bleeding out. I could feel myself start to lose consciousness and I tried to fight it. The last thing that I saw was a flash of silver and then blackness.

I woke up at the edge of the river  with so much pain. I let out a groan and tried to move, but it was no use. I was propped up against a rock with badges wrapped around my chest and around my arm. Then I was taken back when I heard a voice.

"Well look who decided to wake up"

A boy with green eyes and brown hair was dipping a cloth into the river. He was very handsome until I saw his armor in a pill behind him. I started to look for his sword and he noticed I was frightened. He walked closer and leaned close to me.

"Don't be afraid I won't hurt you. If I had wanted too I could have just left you for that creature."

  "Wait you saved me?"

"Yes your welcome by the way"

He said with a grin and walked back to the edge of the river. I tried to stand up, but I had no strength left. The boy rushed to my side and caught me before I hit the ground. We looked into each other eyes for a second and I got the weirdest feeling. I went to pull away, but he tightened his grip.

"Woah there! You are in no condition to walk yet. You need to get some rest"

"My Father will be looking for me" I lied.

"Well then I will bring you to him"

"No that's alright I can do it by myself thank you very much"

"You can barley walk, how do you expect to make it there"

"I can handle myself just fine"

  "A stubborn one aren't ya"

I rolled my eyes and started to make myself walk. I got farther than I expected, but the pain was excruciating. I heard the boys foot steps behind me.

  "I told you..."

He swooped me up in his arms and started to carry me.

"A stubborn one aren't you" I mocked him back.

He let out a laughed and continued to walk forward. I didn't like this.

"So can I know your name?"

"Sorry I was taught not to speak to strangers"

"Well then I guess you will just have to get to know me then so I'm not a stranger" He said with a smirk.

I didn't respond, but was relived that he had no idea who I was.

"Well my name is Wes and I am a knight"

"Is that supposed to impress me"

  "Maybe a little bit"

I couldn't help but smile at this.

"So where I am walking to exactly"

I was defiantly not bringing him to my house. I figured that the best thing to do was to go to Thomas'.

"Just keep walking straight and we will be there soon". The first person to see us was Julia and she ran to meet with us.

"Oh thank god! I was so worried about you! We have been looking for you all day"

"Well I am home now so go tell dad that I am back"

She gave me a weird look and I made a slight look to his belt. Julia then saw the crest on his sword and understood. She ran into the house and walked back out with Thomas.

"Oh thank you thank you boy! My daughter! Oh my poor daughter!"

I gave him a look to indicate to dial it down. Wes began to speak to him.

"It was no problem at all sir. Her back and arm is torn up, but she should recover in a couple weeks."

"Yes yes very good, if you would be so kind, put her in the extra bedroom please"

Wes looked down at me and nodded towards Thomas. He brought me into the house and laid me down on the bed. He pulled back the covers and tucked me in.

"Well it was very nice meeting you and I wish I knew your name"

I didn't answer him and just stared down at the sheets. He let out a sigh and headed towards the door.

  "Wes?"

He turned around and looked at me with caring eyes.

  "Thank you"

He smiled and headed out the door. I smiled to myself and decided to get some sleep.
