Anna stopped, already half way to the town. Marionette leaned against a tree. "Oh my god! Why do we live so far?" Marionette grunted. "Because you guys are killers?" Anna offered. Marionette laughed sarcastically.
"I love your enthusiastic words" she grumbled.
"I know, Marionette"
Then appeared some other friends. Jaylee Travis and Ajeska. Neither attended school but they were always seen hanging around the outskirts of the rather dull and incompetent little town. Ajeska gave suspicious glances over at Anna and Marionette before asking, "How's the family?"
"Family? Great I guess. Maleficent and Boo were arguing not long ago." Anna replied with a grin.
"Not lying are you?" Ajeska narrowed her eyes. "Never in my life. I've learned from you, Truthful" Anna giggled giving Ajeska a toothy grin. Jaylee let out a cough and wiped her scissors on her already rather bloody clothing. "Any frenemies at school?" Jaylee inquired. "A few. But that's the usual, right?" Marionette huffed.
"Get your cute-selves to school, alright?" Jaylee laughed. "And bring me a Newspaper. I wanna know if they've found my kill yet..." Jaylee smiled insanely. Marionette and Anna nodded and ran. The sun was just starting to peek above the tops of trees, out-ling the two running girls, silhouettes casted upon the dirt covered ground before turning to concrete.
Their panting breaths the only sound as life starts to awaken from the deep slumbers of sleeping souls. The only few people they saw were actually CreepyPasta's in disguise. But that's the norm of the situation. Anna, being Zalgo's half neice, is nearly a let down. You'd think she'd have some wonderful ability- but she is a mortal. No powers. No nothing. Not even a killer instinct. Just mortal. Then again that's why all her friends seem to be murderers, killers, life takers. So why does she befriend such people? Why is this her crowd? Is it because she was born into such life?
But that's not what matters. Having a home and a place to stay, a group of friends, and a place to learn about the outside world before her sixteenth birthday...
Though her birthday is the problem. Anna doesn't know this but her father, the sick bastard, sold his daughter's happiness to his half brother Zalgo. What a rat, right? Giving his own kin away to a beast of nothingness.
"ANNA!" Marionette yelled as she tripped over her own feet, accidently landing on her dear mortal friend. They both braced for the fall but it never came, for Marionette. "Jack?" Marionette asked as Anna hit the cement. "Yes my love?" Jack asked leaning toward Marionette. "The fuck?" Marionette slapped him, he dropped her on the ground. "Bitch! I saved your ass from hitting the ground!" he yelled. Marionette helped Anna to her feet.
"Not talking to you, ass bucket, two timing, good for nothing, piece of shit tasting candy, tic-tac sized dick, wannabe clown-boy, fuck head!" she spat venomously. Anna giggled as Marionette and her walked instead of running.
"You okay?" Anna asked as they were out of LJ's ear range.
"Okay? Okay? Define okay"
"Um...what he do?"
"CHEATED ON ME!...why do I do this to myself?"
"You love him?"
"He killed my family. I should hate him. But I won't deny my irritating infatuation."
...
"Anna...Jack hurts me."
"I've noticed. Its surprising the strings are still attached"
"But I don't wanna be his goddamned puppet...though its hard not to"
"Well. He should be the puppet. He IS the puppet. You've tried killing him how many times?"
"A few" Marionette announced proudly.
Anna smiled, happy to make Marionette come out of her gloom. "I'm like a drug he can't get off of" Marionette giggled. "You are his type of flavored candy" Anna teased. Marionette blushed. The two said nothing as they entered the school yard. Of which only had two other students. One student actually a disguise for the overlord himself. The one she loathes.
The disguise waved at Anna. She glared. Though Anna never knew that the disguised human boy was her half uncle keeping an eye on her. Making sure she stayed pure.
Its why some of her late boyfriends disappeared and never returned.
