(flashback:)
It was already 2am in the morning. Jongdae and Minseok were driving back after their trip to Jeju. A small smile crept up Jongdae's face as he looked at Minseok who was sleeping like a log next to him.Minseok initially wanted to stay up and entertain Jongdae, but it was already late and his body betrayed him.
Jongdae chuckled as Minseok failed to stay awake. He concentrated on the seemingly endless road and tried to avoid all the holes such that Minseok won't wake up.Everything seemed perfect. Spending precious time with the one that meant the world to him was all he ever wanted. And he thought, nothing will ever stop this peace from turning into chaos.
But then, an accident turned his life upside down, and he never was the same again.
In the blink of an eye, when they reached the highway, a drunk driver came out of nowhere and slammed into the car Jongdae and Minseok were in. Jongdae didn't care that the drunk driver was dead in a matter of seconds after the car crash. He somehow was hanging from his seat upside down, a drop of blood running down his cheek.
He was lucky. Minseok wasn't.
His body was lifeless and curled up beneath the passenger seat he had sat on. He had not bothered to wear his seat belt before. When he saw Minseok dead, Jongdae wanted to cry. He wanted to scream. Or at least do something. But, he lost his will power and strength to do so. He was losing blood every minute.
He could only wait for someone to call the ambulance. And as he hung there fighting for his life, he heard the familiar sound of sirens ringing in the distance. The sound once became quieter as he slowly closed his eyes...
