"I may not live,, to see our glory,," Lafayette coughed, Hercules grip gotten tighter around him, tears rushing down his face and it was more like a river, "Lafayette,," he whispered through a shaky breath, Lafayette slowly running his fingers through Hercules hair with a soft smile on his face, "But I am glad I joined,, this fight,," he then sang softly, reaching up his arm as his fingers brushed against Hercules cheeks, wiping the tears that feel from his face, seeing Hercules eyes red and his face puffy broke Lafayette, "Lafayette no,, stop,, please,," Hercules sobbed and begged, holding Lafayette hand that was on his cheek while Lafayette could feel tears burning his eyes, beckoning to fall as it did but it was ever so slowly.
"And when our people tell our story,," he spoke again with such hesitation, coughing again as more blood dripped from his mouth and down to his chin, hissing in pain while his hand tightened around the wound that had a bullet lodged into his side as he chuckled weakly, "Lafayette please,, don't leave me,," Hercules once again begged, holding tighter against Lafayette's hand. Lafayette stared for a second as he smiled lightly, pulling Hercules down as their lips touched, Hercules could taste the bitter taste of blood on his lips, Lafayette could taste his salty tears that fell as they parted, Lafayette still having a soft smile while his eyes dulled, "It'll be our story of,, tonight,," Lafayette chuckled weakly but hissed right after in pain. Hercules sobbed even harder, he could hear the horses running from afar, hearing the gun shots and people falling,, why wasn't it over? Hercules looked down at Lafayette as their eyes locked for a second, "At least your face is the last one I see, Mon Amour,,"
