EIGHT

That night Baby came into her room seeing Don sit on her bed taking off his shoe. He look up at her and give a smile as she walked to her wardrobe.

"Okay so you need to understand that this is my basic routine." She said taking out her pyjamas putting her jacket on a hanger.

"No complain." He smiled scanning her from head to toe as she took off her boots throwing it aside where her other shoes laid in the wardrobe.

"Okay so I'm gonna leave the bathroom light on if I come back out so that you could be able not to step on my snake." She replied putting her pyjamas on the closed basket in the bathroom going back out to close her bedroom door.

"Does your snake come here all the time?" He asked more awake than ever.

"Sometimes." She replied and go back into the bathroom closing the door.

"Does he sleep in your bed?" He asked as she heard perfectly.

"Nope." She replies as he look around scanning the room.

"Okay good. Where does he sleep then?" Don asked touching the curtains.

"Where it wants to." She replied and open the bathroom door. He look at her that was wearing long pants, a sweater with her hair still under it. "Like in the garden, under the bed or on the pillow in the room Sarah is in."

"So it didn't listen to what I said?" Don asked raising an eyebrow.

"Oh if heard perfectly. He leaves that pillow very early before I can even wake up but since he heard you, he thought about leaving you a surprise." She said giving him a smile. He give her an odd look walking up to her.

"Okay well. I hope he leaves Sarah that surprise too." He smiled taking her hair out of her sweater.

"Thanks." She smiled as he just nod his head.

"Okay so I'm gonna go brush my teeth and then the bathroom is all yours." She said giving a wide smile walking back into the bathroom. He stood at the door frame of the bathroom looking at every move she makes.

"You know, I told Sarah we did it all the time like on the horse, in the bathtub, you name it." He laughed.

"Let me guess, you said barn too?" She said brushing her teeth.

"Yes I said barn." He replied with a smile. She spit out her mouth and after washing it out with water she dried it.

"Well, not bad I guess." She grab a brush starting to brush her hair finding it almost too impossible.

"That was our favourite place." He smiled walking up behind her that stood in the bathroom mirror brushing her hair.

"Oh yes it was." She giggled as he snap the brush from her hands gently starting to brush her hair for her.

"So many memories." He said as she gave a giggle.

"Yeah well, that includes Sherley." She giggled taking back the brush walking out with him behind her.

"Now I'm done. Do your business while I get the bed ready for us." She smiled as he nod and get his things.

After he was done he came out looking surprise to see Baby still awake busy to spread cream on her legs with her pants rolled up.

"Wow, I almost thought you were naked." He chuckled.

"Maybe in your dreams." she giggled as he put away his things and climb in bed next to her under the blankets. She give him a smile as she let her pants go like they belong before sinking into bed.

"Goodnight babes." He said also sinking in the bed.

"Goodnight." She replied switching off the light on her bedside which was almost the only thing giving light except for the bathroom. She quickly turn back around to face him.

"I want to have a conversation with you where Sarah has nothing to do with it." She said like she meant it. He raise an eyebrow.

"Okay. Me too." He replied with a smile.

"Okay so how's things going with you?" She asked first up.

"Well good. Since I've made so much money I decided to quite my job and be here with you and Sherley." He replied as she looked super impressed. "How about you?"

"Things couldn't have been better. They wanted to use Precious again this year for the races but I didn't accept." She told him. He nod his head impressed lifting his hand under the blankets awkwardly.

"I always wondered about why Sherley didn't want to come in town. Now I know exactly why." He said in almost a whisper finaly placing his hand on her hip.

"And why's that?" She asked wanting to know.

"Here's more to do than in town." He replied honestly delivering his opinion successfully.

"You can say that again." She giggled. "Now, for me it's the best place to escape the outside world."

"I love to escape the outside world but I don't like doing it alone." He whispered as she just give him a smile. "So, now that you know how I feel about you, does it make things awkward?"

"No of course not." She giggled placing her hand on his shoulder knowing where his is. "Does this make you feel awkward?"

"No. I know what I said and I don't regret it at all." He replied honestly.

"You know, I always wanted another kid." She said in a whisper rubbing her thumb over his cheek.

"Well, it's not too late to try." He said. She laugh and shook her head.

"Goodnight Don." She said and turned around as he kept his hand on her hip. She keep her position and look at him. "If you wanna hold me you'd have to do it properly else you'll get cold."

"Okay." He replied and move closer to her throwing his arm around her. Basically spooning.

He look at her placing a quick peck on her cheek. She feel him move back behind her laying comfortably warm and softly. They both hope it's not gonna be the last and it's obvious. Well great, now he has a new room.
