Penny saw movement.

"You ruined our plans".

She aimed a .9mm gun at Penny's head with her right hand.

Bob pushed her wheelchair outside.

Penny screamed when she noticed the cliff. "Why?", she asked. She knew the answer. "Because I needed the money to marry Bob...and live in glorious France. Your parents got in the way. They wouldn't sell the lease papers; they wouldn't give the papers to us!".

She was angry.

She aimed the gun at Penny's head.

Then, to her relief, Doctor Gerrard appeared.

He shot her in the chest. Then he shot Bob in the chest. Blood spilled downwards. The smell of the other gun caused Penny to gasp.

He dropped it to the ground.

Then he moved her out of the wheelchair.

He placed the body of Jane on it. Then he pushed her off the cliffs. He watched her crash onto the sharp rocks...as the French waters gushed over her.

He left Bob alone.

"Leave him to the Inspector, Penny", he told her in fractured English. He carried to her room back in the villa.

"Don't ever leave me!".

The Doctor kissed her.

"Je ne vais jamais vous quitter, très chers".

And, as she smiled, she saw another wheelchair.

"For me?".

"Oui".

And she rested her tired legs on the new wheelchair...and knew that she was truly home where she belonged with the man she loved.

In the Music Room, the shadowy figure moved about the room as if it owned it. The ghost peered out of the cold, freezing, window.

The window froze from its dead fingers...as it touched the glass. A fog erupted around the ghost. Then, seconds later, it begun to sit down as usual on the piano's chair...and begun to play a Mozart song...in the growing darkness of the haunted villa.
