Camila and Shawns relationship was rather complicated. To anyone who didn't know them, they were just another young attractive looking couple in the streets of Miami. Shawn wasn't from Miami in fact he didn't even live there but as a successful CEO he would travel a lot. He knew almost every city. He knew the best places to drink, eat, party hell he even knew the best strip clubs to go to. But there was one city in particular that he was always looking forward to visiting, Miami. Miami is a vibrant, diverse city with all types of people from different countries with so many different things to look at and so many different places to visit but the one thing that always had Shawn wanting to come back for more than he really needed to was a certain brunette. Camila, the girl drove him insane. She was the definition of irresistible. He could never deny her anything she asked for. With those beautiful brown eyes that looked even more beautiful when the sunlight was hitting them. That gorgeous smile that would never leave her face unless you made her mad. Her body, a wonderland where he would always discover something new any time he undressed and admired it. Like the birth mark on her thigh that only he knew about or the heart shaped birthmark on her back. All these details only made him even more crazy about her. She was addicting and he couldn't get enough. But just like anything addicting, indulging too much of her came with consequences. Did I mention their relationship was complicated?
After a night of passionate sex at the condo Shawn had rented in Miami, Camila decided she was in the mood to make the handsome looking man who was still sleeping some breakfast. It's the least she could do for him, after making love to her the way only he knew how all night. She gathered all the ingredients she needed for the omelettes she was about to make when she heard an alarm go off and then very abrupt movements. She knew what that meant and it always made her sad. She continued the process of making the omelettes in hopes that he would stay a little longer today.
After a few moments Shawn appeared dressed in a light blue dress shirt and form fitting dress pants. She loved the way he dressed but knowing the reason he was dressed this way only made her feel more sad.
"I have to go." Shawn says while typing away on his phone not even bothering to look up.
"Really? You can't spare a few minutes I was just making us some breakfast." Camila smiled trying not to sound hurt.
"Not today baby I have too many meetings to attend. He said. Camila was upset that he couldn't even look at her when he spoke. What she didn't realize was Shawn was trying really hard to not make any eye contact with her. Just one look and he knew she could easily convince him to stay with her all day. But he had priorities, and work always came first no matter what. Being successful at such a young age Shawn realized he had to give up a lot of things and that included serious relationships that may distract him and get in the way of his success.
Camila on the other hand, wanted a serious relationship with him with all the strings attached. "Then, when? You never want to spend time with me unless there's sex involved." Camila suddenly felt angry. Why was it so easy for him to dismiss any sort of suggestions that involved spending quality time with her? It was always so hard to watch him leave but he never seemed to care when he left her. Making her feel lonely and empty in his massive condo.
He heard the hint of sadness in her voice even though the anger overpowered it. He couldn't deny that he would feel bad when he left her but this whole thing started as a zero commitment type of relationship. He was too busy for a serious relationship and Camila was already in one when they first met. Truth is Camila was still with Dante because even though they both didn't love each other he still made her feel less lonely somehow.
"I really don't have time to argue right now we'll talk when my schedule clears up." Shawn begins putting his shoes on and as soon as he's up from the couch He notices Camila standing right in front of him.
