I wake up to silence. The horror and disgust from last night creeps back into my system.

I'm laying on the ground next to the crumpled mess of blankets and pillows, and Jeff is nowhere to be seen.

When I stand a dull pain in my head waves, making me wobble when I get to my feet. My hand instinctively goes to my for head, I squeeze my eyes shut. All I remember is Jeff saying.... Something. And then nothing.

He must've knocked me out, or something like that.

No time to waste on that now, I could save that for later. My main concern was to see Jake today.

But when I look for my car keys I can't find them.

In my pocket? No.

Under the couch cushions? No sir.

On the counter? No.

No. No. No.

I scream to the silent walls with frustration.

Jeff probably took them, to keep me from Jake.

Well Jeff is too stupid to realize that in todays society, there is buses and taxis.

After calling a taxi, I finally get to the hospital.

The smell makes me uncomfortable.

I hate hospitals.

"Do you need something hun?" I look down at the receptionist. She has her hair in a donut bun and her round cheeks form a fake smile.

 "Yes. I'm looking for..."

I trail off when I see a hooded figure step into the elevator behind the woman. "Excuse me."

I take off and wave to the other people in the elevator to keep the doors open.

"Hey! Wait! I-"

The hooded figure stops the doors from closing. I catch my breath when I step in.

I try to get a peek at the persons face, but only shadows greet me.

"Jeff?" I whisper quietly.

"....."

I sigh softly and lean against the rails. It can't be him then, right?

But then I see the metallic glint of a knife.

My heart freezes. Time slows down.

"JEFF N-"

Jeff's hood falls off and he smiles at me, before he turns and takes a swing at a man.

Chaos explodes in the small box. I fall into the stampede of the scurrying people, pushing and shoving each other trying to get a human shield in front of them.

Pain. Pain all over my body.

I look up and see a little girl staring down at me.

Jeff sees her too.

I kneel up and throw my body on top of hers.

At first there is no pain at all. But by the blood pooling around my knees and onto the little girls pink dress, I can tell I've been hurt.

Stabbed.

The right side of my body throbs in a dull ache until the pain is absolutely unbearable.

The little girl is screaming.

Or... Is that me?
