The next morning I was laying in bed watching Peytonn sleep peacefully when I got a call from Cook County Penitentiary I looked at my phone puzzled but I still answered it . "You have a collect call from "Draymond Manning" "an inmate at Cook County Penitentiary, would you like to accept this call?"
"Yes" I said nervously while sitting up in my bed.
"This call will be recorded."
The woman's voice left and that's when Draymond's voice came booming through the phone.
"Hello?" I spoke into the phone.
"Wassup sis in law?" Dray asked.
"Nothing much bro, just taking everything one step at a time. Your niece and I been good." I told him. "How You holding up?" I asked him.
"I've been better but aye yo sis let me tell you something." Draymond said in a whispered tone.
"What's going on??" I asked while getting up to head out of the room. I looked to see that Peyton was sleeping peacefully.
"You know today's Kade's birthday, It's only right that you go visit him." He said sounding like he had more to say.
I didn't say anything I let him continue.
"Look sis, yo friends ain't yo friends them lil chicks you running with had my mans whacked!!" Dray yelled into the phone.
"Wait what are you talking about?" I asked.
"You'll find out sooner or later , Stay to yourself get you , Peyton and grandma out of that neighborhood and I mean asap!" Dray spoke. "Y'all go visit my brother one last time today ma , my big homie gone be there waiting for y'all , he gone take y'all far away from here!" Dray continued.
"Dray I'm not trying to leave this house!! Why would I leave??" I asked.
"THEM FRIENDS YOU GOT ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS SKYE!!! Listen to what I'm saying! You know I wouldn't tell you nothing wrong.. please just trust me!" He begged.
"Okay I'll pack some things up and we'll be leaving around 5." I told him.
"That's perfect sis , I'll let my big homie know. Look I got to go , I'll see y'all soon sis." He Said and hung up the phone.
I looked back at the phone and was amazed. See us soon? What did he mean by that? I went back into the room and headed to the closet to pack up Peyton's clothes along with mines.
