[CHAPTER 1: WELCOME BACK]
"Where is he...?"
The seventeen-year-old girl grunted. Her long straight platinum blonde hair covered her face when the strong wind blew behind her. She fixed her tousled hair with her fingers and groaned aloud, followed by stomping her feet to the ground.
"Hey, stop that. You're annoying me,"
The boy with the same platinum blonde beside her shoved his elbow at the sulking girl. The girl slapped his arm in return.
"It's been an hour, Noah!"
She cried at her twin elder brother. Noah shook his head.
"Impatience,"
He mumbled, then let out a small whistle while avoiding his sister's angry glare.
"We have no other choice but to wait, Nasya..."
Noah uttered when his sister starting to stomp her feet on the ground even harder. Nasya rolled her eyes in displeasure. She glared at her twin brother from head to toe, before sticking her tongue out at him.
Noah was three minutes older than Nasya. He has a long straight platinum blonde, the same length as his twin little sister's hair. He always keeps his long hair tied up, to prevent from being tousled by strong wind or being mistaken as a girl from behind. Nasya never ties her hair. Never. She hates it when people try to touch or suggests what she should do with her long hair.
Although they looked identically alike, Noah was few inches taller. And they have very different personalities as well.
"Engggg... I'm starving..."
Nasya whined like a three-year-old, tugging to her brother's sleeve.
"Alright..."
Noah sighed at the looks on Nasya's face. He glanced over their surroundings.
"Perhaps we can go find something to eat around here if you want..."
Nasya quickly nodded and clung tightly to Noah's arm, waiting for her brother to make a move. She pointed to a direction with a wide grin on her face.
"That looks like a small restaurant,"
I hope I brought enough money to feed you, pig...
"Tsk!"
Nasya shoved her elbow towards Noah's ribcage, but Noah managed to lean back before she could strike him. He shot a smirk at her.
"Hallo, hallo!"
Oh, instead of 'welcome!', they say 'hello hello!'... Maybe that's how they welcome foreigners from western countries? Hahahaa...
Nasya rolled her eyeballs again when she saw Noah giggled to himself after a lady in her late forties gave the twins a warm welcoming smile as they entered. Noah and Nasya returned the smile and glanced around the cozy small restaurant.
Since there was only one table unoccupied, the pair settled down right next to a group of town folks, all appeared to be in their forties.
Why do I feel like we're not welcomed here? The way these people looked at us just gives me the creep.
"Shhhh..."
Noah shushed at his sister, who shifted the chair she was sitting on closer to him until their shoulders touched. He noticed it too how the whole place immediately fell into deep silence the second they walked in, and all heads turned directly at both of them.
He couldn't help but notice another odd thing about the place. The people here all seemed to have only one hair color...
Black.
