"So..?"

"What?"

"Am I going to witness a wedding soon, or not??"

With her wiggling brows, and a mischievous smile hooked on her lips, Hinah asked her friend.

She had been waiting to ask this single question, from the past hour. But she couldn't. The customers were all around their store with their seniors gawking at their work.

"How would I know that!"

As a matter of fact, the older girl uttered and proceeded to do her job. Taking the stole off of the stand, Ishrath moved towards her customer. And soon as the man glanced at the price tag, he in no second returned it back to her.

Noticing her friend halting at the stand beside her again, Hinah rushed there, and pulled the former's elbow, to let their faces meet.

"Please Ish, cut the crap. See, I literally am balancing on my one leg...no actually on my poor toe, to know what actually happened that day."

Hinah just creased her forehead as she found her friend shaking her head off, before leaving her sight with a deep sigh.

"Wait! What happened?

What did Rashid say?"

This time not caring about their seniors glare, Hinah ran to her friend's position and asked her in direct words.

She was ready to receive a lecture on, 'how to behave', 'how to act' and 'blah..' when still being in the store by her seniors, for the tiny stunt she pulled.

"He's already engaged, Hinah."

Ishrath whispered, eying around her surroundings, afraid of somebody else knowing the fact, that she was trying to "propose" her senior. It'd certainly be embarrassing to work with her colleagues and the man being aware of it.

"And...whether you're going to witness a wedding soon or not, that too mine, I'll let you know tomorrow."

With a sheepish smile creeping on her lips, she whispered again, a little more louder than before.

"What do you mean?"

"That, once I told you about a match-fixing lady, remember?"

"Yeah...so?"

"So, I've got a call from her. The lady told me that one family has approached her for my details and are very much interested in my profile. And today in the evening, they are visiting home, to see me." Ishrath disclosed the details sounding excited.

Hinah ignoring the customers who began to walk into their store, crushed her friend in an embrace.

"Really?!...I'm so happy to hear this, Ish.

Wish you loads of luck!"

"She's the one?"

"Show us your hair, will you?"

Even before the match-fixer could answer there was another question thrown on the way, by the same old lady. With her gray hairs and a round belly the lady probably seemed to be in mid-fifties. Her paan stained teeth shined every time she opened her mouth.

Ishrath was little nervous at first, for this being her very first time of indulging in such a meet. But as there were only an older lady and her daughter who looked to be in twenties, she eventually composed herself and sat straight with confidence.

As per the woman's question, Ishrath forcing a polite smile on her features loosened the pin of her hijab before letting it to fall down on her lap. Her long hair black and wavy ran along her shoulders to her mid back. To her it wasn't just her hair, it was an only asset that people envied her for. She was grateful for having inherited this blessing from her late mother. The only souvenir of hers as she believed.
