Not that anyone's actually reading this story, but here's another chapter😜

We arrived at the house, not house, mother-frikkin mansion, around 9 and it was already crowded as hell and I still had yet to figure out whose party this was.

It was huge and gleamed white. The whole street was filled with cars with our highschool tag on the rerview mirrors and heavy rap music boomed from inside.

"Toby?" I turned around to see Collin with an obviously wasted girl attached to his waist standing behind me, slack jawed.

"Close your mouth, your gonna catch flies." I snapped, the amount of people here was crazy. I pulled my dress down to my knees which only exposed my cleavage, so I quickly pulled my dress back up again. Now it was to short. I settled on hugging Dez's leather jacket around my boobs and pulling my dress down. Better.

Collin closed his mouth as suggested,"Sorry, I just, what are you doing at Adams party?"

Adams party?! We couldn't be here! We wernt invited, we wernt cool enough. At least I wast. Iwhipped around to give Dez a peice of my mind only to find she was gone.

Jerk.

"I did not know this was-" I started turning back to talk to Collin, only he too, was gone.

Jerk.

Now alone with a crowd of people polluting the valuable air I needed, I pushed my way to the door. I swear half the student body was in his front yard and I found out when I got to the door the other half was inside. The smell of cologne, perfume, sweat and beer was even worse inside and I started getting dizzy. I needed to sit.
Somehow I made it to the kitchen where an unoccupied barstool sat calling my name.

I heaved myself on the stool and burried my head in my arms on the counter, trying to hide from
The headache that was pounding on the back of my skull. It wasn't working. I lifted my head up and turned around to survey the scene before me. The inside of Adams house was even nicer
Than the outside. A spiral staircase in one corner leading up to hard wood floors, the modern blue rug was an amazing accent color for the jet black couch currently pushed in the corner of the living room. Pictures hung above the fireplace of Adam and who I would
Assume we're his parents. It was really majestic.

Of course not right now.

Right now it was about 1000 degrees, the stairway covered in abandoned jackets and shoes, red solo cups flung carelessly on the rug and open beer bottles on the mantle.

This was gonna take forever to clean up.

And Ugh, the headache was back.

"I know that look, water?" I looked up from clutching my head to see none other than the party lord himself, sitting next to me holding out a bottled water with a signature blinding smile. He was wearing cargo shorts and a light green shirt that hugged his mid section. He looked even better than usual if that was possible.

"Uh, uh yah I guess." I stammered
and shakily took the bottle from him

"If there was one person I never expected to see at a party it would be you Tana," he leaned back with his elbows on the counter behind him and looked out over his party, than flitted his eyes back at me,"and just to let you know, you look hella good. Almost didn't recognize you, but those brown eyes gave you away." He smiled at me and his eyes looked me up and down a little to slowly for me to be comfortable with. I laughed nervously and hugged the jacket around me once again. He laughed with me,"Sorry, sorry, I know, mega creep alert." He looked down bashfully and scratched the back of his head,"you just look really cute." He looked up at me through lashes better than any girl at this school, and winked.

My heart stopped.

"No don't stop now! Things just got good!" I whispered venomously and my heart resumed its erratic tempo.

Adam. James. Smiley told me I looked good.

Adam. James. Smiley liked my eyes.

Adam. James. Smiley WINKED AT ME!

HOLY FREAKING CRAP!!!

"Anyway I'm sure Salone is somewhere around here so I better go." He hopped off the stool and began to walk away,"but," he paused,"I expect a dance with you before you leave. Just one." And with that Adam Smiley disappeared forever.

Well, maybe I'm being just a bit melodramatic, I'll try again.

Adam smiley dissapeared from my eyesight because there where to many people to see him, but I knew he was still here. Better?

Ya I know, not really.

Another person sat down next to me,"You okay there Toby, it looks like you just received a million dollars from the way your smiling. Hey, sharing is caring."

I frowned,"Collin your ruining the moment."

"Sorry cuz, just being honest." Collin smiled at me an I laughed quietly,"wanna dance?"

I shot him a look,"what happened to the girl?"

"Ah, she was to wasted for my taste. Comeon Toby, it'll be fun! And I can protect you from any handsy boys." He winked and I rolled my eyes then studied the Dance floor.

...it actually did look kinda fun....

"Fine." He squealed in glee and dragged me to what I would assume was the living room.

I mean, it can't be that bad, right?

Wrong. As soon as we got to the pit I was surrounded by hella tall guys, scantily dressed girls and, ew, bare skin.

"Toby!" Collin yelled,"loosen up!" I decided to take his advice and soon enough I was actually having a good time?? Yes, I have decided I was.

Far before I was ready to give up my newfound talent, Collin yelled over the music,"Damn cuz, you to much for me. Let's go?" Collin was sweaty and i could tell from his face he was done dancing. I nodded and we started to make our way out of the floor

"Hey guys wait!" I turned around to see Adam pushing through to get to us,"Tana, befor-"

"Toby, dumbass." Collin snapped and I glared at him.

"Uh, Toby, may I have this dance?" Adam made a grand gesture with his hand and I giggled.

"Sure." I grabbed his hand, yes you read that correctly, I was holding his hand and he lead me back into the pit of bodies. And then the best or worst thing ever happened.

A slow song came on.

My mind panicked. Who plays ballads at party's?! I mean, I was no expert on party's but I'm assuming this wasn't the norm. I was hyper-aware as Adam gently placed his hand above my hip and he placed my hand on his shoulder and soon enough we where dancing. His 6'3 frame littlerally loomed over my 5'4 and made the whole thing more awkward.

"Damn, you're tiny." He squeezed my hand and my heart stopped.

"STOP STOPING HEART!" I yelled internally.

"Adam?!" A shrill voice called out and he jumped away from me like I was a lion,"Adam where are you?" A head of brown hair with blonde highlights was pushing through the crowds of people and I then realized it was Salone. I had to leave now. She was not a nice human to be around. Especially if she knew I was dancing with her boyfriend. But apparently I didn't get out soon enough,"Adam where-" she finally emerged through the bodies and smiled,"Oh babe, there you are!" She seemed to just notice me and Adams nearness cause even though I had tried to get away, there was no way I could move out of this crowd. She narrowed her eyes at me and grabbed Adams wrist,"Let's go baby." She proceeded to haughtily drag him away and before she disappeared she shouted venomously,"stay away from my boyfriend bitch!" And with those beautiful parting words they where gone.

"Bye Adam" I said but he didn't reply, maybe he just didn't hear me.

I warily made my way off the dance floor, my good night ruined, and set off to find Dez.
