I wandered around the woods, my barefoot feet sinking into the damp, muddy grounds. The full moon hung above me and gleamed its brilliant light down on meMy body felt numb and limp, as if all the energy had been drained out of my system completely, but even still I continued trudging through the dense forest.

I abruptly stopped and stared directly into the eyes of a wolf. This wolf was much bigger than your average sized wolf, yet I made no attempt to flee. I didn't scream, I didn't run away, I just stood there. The wolf walked over to me, its glowing red eyes visible in the darkness. The wolf stood tall on its hind legs and morphed into a human. Even with the light of the moon, I couldn't make out any facial features.

The shadowed wolf-now-human walked over to me, wrapping its arms around my waist and pulled me closer, a hot puff of breath hitting my face. Its dark crimson eyes flickered down to my slightly parted lips then back up to my eyes. I wrapped my arms around its neck, pulling the silhouette closer to me. It came closer to me, closer, closer, closer-

I sat up in my bed, panting heavily. My body was entirely soaked in bed, as well as my sheets. I glanced out the window and stared at the full moon for a while. What was that dream about? What was the meaning behind it? I stood up from my bed and walked out of my room. The house was dark, with the exception of the moonlight seeping in through the window. From down the hall, I picked up sounds of loud snoring from my mother's bedroom. She must have came home when I fell asleep.

I ripped my damp shirt off and tossed it somewhere on the ground. I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and chugged it down, then dumped some over my head. Although I tried so hard to focus on the refreshing feeling, I couldn't help but to think about the weird dream. For some reason, and as silly I sounded, I felt as if I knew that person. Like that mysterious wolf, or human, or whatever the fuck it was, was trying to reach out to me via dream. I glanced at the stove clock and groaned. 12:45.

I looked around the kitchen and looked at the overflowing trash can. Technically, it was Friday, which meant trash day. I needed an excuse to clear my mind out, so I grabbed the garbage tied, tied it up and walked out the house. The October breeze tickled my bare chest, causing me to shiver. I looked around to make sure I was the only one around and no weird stalkers were watching me. Nobody, besides me, would be stupid and dense enough to come out at this time of night to throw out some trash, but that could be me.

I flipped open the lid and dropped the bag of trash inside the growing pile. I stretched my arms and walked back to the front door, but a low growl stopped me. "Fucking hell," I muttered. "Me and my dumb ass." I slowly turned around and came face to face with a wolf, only bigger and possessed deep, blood red eyes. I slowly backed up to the door and the wolf crept closer to me, its eyes boring into mine.

"Nice doggie. Stay, doggie," I said shakily.

The wolf bared its sharp canine fangs at me, which was enough for me to turn my back at it and run back. I tried closing the door, but the wolf overpowered and and shoved the door open, knocking me to my feet. I backed away and began kicking its muzzle with my foot. The wolf growled in anger and slashed its claws on my chest, leaving behind four bloody gashes. I screamed in pain and sniveled.

I winced at the sound of a gunshot fired. "Get the fuck away from my baby boy, you hear me?" Mom yelled, firing a couple of more rounds. The wolf snarled at her and pounced on me. Its fangs penetrated its fangs deep into my neck and lapped up the dripping blood with its tongue, then turned around and smashed through the window. Mom shot one more round in its direction and ran over to me.

"Baby, are you okay? Look at me, Kellin, can you hear me?" Mom asked frantically.

I paid her no attention and closed my eyes. The withering pain intertwining with the shock was too much for me to handle. The last thing I fully remember was the dark eyes of my canine attacker.

~Time Lapse~

"Kellin, is it true that you were attacked by a wolf?"

I slammed my locker shut and looked at Alan and Austin, confusing and tired. Not even a full twenty four hours had passed since the heart wrenching attack and I become the talk of the town. "How does everybody know about that? I haven't told anyone about it up until this point!"

"Word spreads around like wildfire around these parts," Alex explained.

I sighed and brushed my hair to the side and gently peeled back the bandage Mom applied last night while I was out. "Damn. That doesn't look sexy at all," Austin mumbled. I patched the bandage back up and crossed my arms. "I'm sorry my scar didn't get a chance to pose sexily for Victoria Secret. It didn't get the memo," I scoffed sarcastically. Austin held up his hands and backed up defensively.

I was annoyed to say the least, but more so scared. I had to beg my mom to let me go tp school today even though deep inside I was still shaken up. "We should get going. The bell's going to ring soo-"

"Hello, cutie."

I turned around and looked into the eyes that belonged to a smirking Vic Fuentes. "You're the new kid, right? Kellin, was it?" he asked me. I looked at Alex and Austin, who were just as confused as I was. "Who wants to know?" I finally asked.

"Mike told me about you. I'm Vic, king of Clairemont High," he introduced himself. "I saw you around and I thought you were cute. I heard about your little... incident and just wanted to check up on you."

I stared into his eyes for a while and slowly nodded. I didn't know why exactly, but they looked awfully familiar. As if I saw them somewhere. "Um, that's nice of you, but I'm fine now. Amazing what kind of power ointment has," I said. Vic smirked and stepped closer to me. His fingers brushed my hair back and leaned in closer, his arm looped around my waist. "When I see something I want, I get it, Luna. Don't forget that," he whispered in my ear.

I stood still and watched him pull apart from me. "See you around, Luna," she said. He turned around and walked down the hall, ignoring the stares he got thrown his way. Austin and Alex stared at the back of his head and looked at me.

"Alex, pinch me if I'm wrong, but did Vic Fuentes just hit on Kellin?" Austin questioned.

"To be honest, I'm really not sure," Alex answered.

I didn't say anything, but slid down the lockers and sat on the ground. Of course the bells decided to ring right after the weird encounter. "What just happened?" I mumbled.
