Chapter 2

Connor's POV.

I hope I see her again today. She's quite the girl. There's two reasons why I go to Starbucks, #1 COFFEE! and #2 Her. Wow, Im stupid. I didn't even get her name! I need to today. Maybe her number too, I'd like to get to know her. Hopefully she's there today. I get in my car with Ricky (Dillon) and drive to Starbucks.

Ellie's POV.

Well, just another day of work. I hope I see Connor again today. Wow. Speak of the angel ( instead of speak of the devil? just go with it). He actually just walked in. He's wearing some burgundy skinny jeans and a dark grey t-shirt. He looks so hot.

" Hi again!" I smile

"Hey" he says

" Just another regular coffee and a regular frozen coffee" He states simply

"Oh sure, that would be 9.50$"

"Here. So I never caught your name?" He gives me some money

"Ellie!" I smiled

"Nice name. so can I get your numb-" Connor gets cut off

"Can you speed this up please I'm gonna be late for work!" a crabby old man yells in line

Connor rolls his eyes and moves out of line and sits at the same table he did yesterday.

I take I couple more orders then prepare Connors and a couple others drinks. Im write down two names on two other drinks then get to Connor's. I swear he was gonna ask me for my number so I also wrote it down under his name with a smiley face.

I give the drinks to the girls that ordered before Connor then headed straight to give Connor his two drinks.

"So, uh before I was gonna ask you for your number?" He said more like a question

I wink then smile and walk away from the table back to work.

Connor's POV.

"So, uh before I was gonna ask you for your number?" I said more like a question

She winks then smiles then walked away from the table I was sitting at.

Is she playing hard to get? Is this how she blows people off? Is she trying to turn me on? If she is it's working. As Im thinking these questions inside my head I look at my coffee and see a 10 digit number below my name. She's one smart girl.. I like that.

I smile to myself, grab my drinks and walk out. As I get into the car Ricky is playing a game on his phone.

"Who's that?" Ricky questions with his eyes glued on his phone still

" Who's what?"

"That girl. Don't play dumb with me Conrad" Ricky teases

"Oh, her? That's Ellie. She's just a friend" I lie

"Lies, lies, lies. Tell me!" Ricky says

"I got her number" I smiled

"Ouu. Getting all the ladies I see." Ricky teases some more

" One btw." I start to get annoying

Ricky notices my tone and if got a little quiet.

"She's cute though" Ricky smiles to lighten the mood

I chuckle to myself quietly and head to target.

Ellie's POV.

"Who's that?" Kate wiggles her eyebrows

Kate's 20. Older than me by like two months. She's been my bestfriend FOREVER. We moved into California together. We have known each other since kindergarten and she's helped me through a lot.. even the Derek thingy.

" Who's what?" I ask but still knowing what she's talking about

" You're such a little liar. You always bite your lip when you lie" She says

Wow. I didn't even know I was biting my lip until she pointed it out.

"Nobody" I smile and bit my lip harder

" C'mon! Tell me!" She squeals

" Fine! His names Connor. We met yesterday and we just sort of went on from there. I don't even know if he likes me, like c'mon we just met! Although he did ask me for his number-" I get cut off

"OMG. Ahhhh! He totally likes you." She squeals again

"Really?"

"Yeah. Obvi. He wouldn't of asked you for your number if he didn't!" She yells

"I guess you're righ-" I get cut off again but not by Kate.. by our boss

"Get to work ladies! If I have to tell to this again you will be fired immediately!" My boss Paige screams

I laugh and run back into my work station.

I start thinking about Connor when I realize he didn't text me back yet... or did he?

I go grab my purse and get my phone out of the front pocket.

I have 1 message. Well what do yah know? He texted me!

Hey beautiful. I want to get to know you more so would to wanna hangout tomorrow? Like a date or something? Let me know when you get this. Bye! - C

Hey! I just got this. Lots of people were here today. I'd love to hangout! Taco Bell? 1:00, be there :) -E

As I was just about to put my phone back in my purse when it lit up again.

Alright. Just a casual date. I love Taco Bell! Can't wait. -C
