Personality: Despite his curse, he tries to be positive about his life. Keyword: tries. The poor guy is more of a pessimist. Sometimes he's very bitter towards more modern things, and his age shows in most things. Douglas's temper flares easily when it comes to new technology, and he prefers the more old-fashioned views (minus racism and sexism, he sees those as bullshit excuses to make the people [racists/sexists] feel like special snowflakes). His own discovery of being homosexual still scares him due to the era he was raised in, and it makes him very timid about flirting.

Illness(es): Douglas developed insomnia after realizing the severity of his curse. He occasionally forgets to eat, albeit nothing has been diagnosed for him. He dislikes modern medicine, and he usually has to be tricked (ex: put into drinks or food) to take pills to help. His purple eyes are caused by Alexandria's Genisis.

Friends: He befriended a man named John ten years after his curse, and they signed a contract that his descendants  were bonded to him until Douglas passes. John's family shockingly kept to it, and the oldest daughter of one of the descendants, Maria, helps him keep the place modern--albeit no one wants to repaint the large house.

Enemies: He was originally supposed to marry a woman who he believed was after his family's fortune, and he attempted to kill her. Sadly, it was a trust of his faith in his parents, and she was a witch. Although his intentions were good, his actions were wrong; the witch cursed him with immortality (he hates it strongly). Douglas hates her with a fiery passion.
