If Bartholomew was being serious, he didn't want the night to end like that. Bentley blurting out their secrets, but he still understood why. They pushed him, they didn't really know what his power was like. He had the strongest power out of them, so far, and they just thought it would be easy.
Bartholomew was there when Bentley looked inside Python's mind. Whatever he saw changed him, his scream was deadly which made Python turn back. His hair turned black, his eyes turned into a shade of red. And he begged to get out of there, but Python was frozen with his eyes turning bland.
They was stuck in that trance, until Bartholomew slapped Bentley. The two looked at each other but Bentley and Python couldn't speak. So waking up early, with the beach crashing against the sand. He sighed as he sat up and saw Python was hanging upside down from a tree, hissing with Pegasus.
"Do you usually do that?" Bartholomew asked, which made Python gasped and fall out of the tree.
Bartholomew widened his eyes as he ran over and grabbed his arm, helping him up. Python blushed as he rubbed his head and gave him a nervous chuckle. Bartholomew gulped and smile as he pushed a piece of his greenish-purplish fringe.
"Hanging upside down or just talking to Pegasus?" Python asked as Bartholomew shrugged his shoulders.
"Both I guess."
"To answer both of your questions, yes. I think it's fun."
Pegasus slide over and put her head on Bartholomew's knee. The blonde giggled as he touched her forehead, making Pegasus shake and coil around his arm. Bartholomew smiled and rubbed her top of her head against Bartholomew's forehead.
"She likes you." Python said as he smiled at the sight.
"Can you understand what she's saying?" Bartholomew asked as Python nodded.
"Pegasus was the very first snake I ever created," Python said as Pegasus licked Bartholomew's cheek. "I found this yellow feather on the road and thought about how cool it would be as a snake. I was only five so I still had no idea how my powers worked, but when she appeared by my side. I could've been happier."
Pegasus untangled herself from Bartholomew and slide towards Python. Bartholomew looked and saw how to the two connected. Their movements matched each others, and began to feel jealous.
He never had a friend that they where like that. At first he thought Ethan and him was close, but turns out that was all a lie. A big fat lie, all he wanted was to destroy him and his father. Ethan used him as a friend and he didn't like that, it made him feel used.
Which was something Bartholomew didn't like feeling.
"What are you thinking about?" Python asked which made Bartholomew jumped.
"What?" The blonde asked as Python nodded his head towards the small sand twister.
"Oh that..." He sighed as he pursed his lips. "Was Ethan always evil?" Bartholomew asked as Python raised his eyebrow.
"I do not follow."
"I mean, has he always used people? Did he always have fake friends and used them for their parents."
"You think that Ethan used you to get at your father."
Bartholomew nodded which made Python sighed and wrapped his arms around his knees.
"Yes, he used you." Python said as Bartholomew sighed and nodded.
"Of course." He mumbled as he closed his eyes.
