Lucas' POV only
Tweety was more social during dinner which made Lucas inconspicuously smile with joy. He noticed the massive difference between how she usually was compared to how she's acting right now. Her face was brighter, she's more animated with her story telling, making his family smile and laugh, even Zoe. It seemed like she was was finally home.
Dinner was soon over and Lucas couldn't wait to bring Juliana back to the barn. He was getting impatient when she offered to help his mother clean dishes and wipe down the table. Marguerite was ever so grateful, but declined her offer. Lucas liked that Tweety was a nice person, a kind hearted girl, but he really wanted to just be alone with her.
The almost kiss just moments ago made him want to try again. But, then again, maybe she was just caught in the heat of the moment. Which made him scared to try again out of fear of rejection. He was never a "ladies man," never made a girl swoon or cum, but the girls he has been with were just for fun, Tweety would be special, his little Tweety bird deserved more than just a quick fuck for his own amusement. No, it had to be romantic and gentle. He did however imagine what it would be like to bend her over on his work bench and fuck her brains out. The thought gave him half a boner, but tried his damnedest not to fully pitch a tent in front of her and his Momma.
Tweety and Marguerite were talking and giggling. Lucas wondered what they were talking in hushed tones and giggling silently about. With all his experience of people snickering and talking quietly around him meant they were talking about him. He got up, adjusted his pants to conceal his half hard-on, walked over to the clucking hens, and stood in the doorway leading to the kitchen.
"Whatcha two ladies talkin' 'bout?" Juliana looked up at him, still giggling, holding back a howl of laughter.
"You when you were a kid. You sounded so adorable," she said pinching his cheek. He gently swatted her hand away in embarrassment.
"What did ya tell 'er, Momma?"
"Ah only told 'er about the time we went to New Orleans," Marguerite looked at Tweety, "He heard from God knows where, tha' if ya lift yer shirt, ya get beaded necklaces. So he started flashin' everyone undah the sun." Tweety hid her face in her hands to try and stop the laughing from bursting out like it was threatening to. Lucas stood there, flabbergasted and red cheeked.
"Aw c'mon nah, Momma! Ah was like six or sumthin'! C'mon, Tweety, lets go to the barn," Lucas said, taking her by the wrist and walking toward the front door.
"I'm sorry, Lucas, I was just curious. Thats all. I'm sorry if I embarrassed you," she said wringing her hands again and looking down at the floor, then relentlessly scratched the top of her head. What was with her and the head scratching thing? Whatever. He shook his head and shook his anger he previously felt toward her and his mother. Seeing Tweety go from literally the happiest he has ever seen her, to shy, meek, and scared like she always have been before. It hurt him more than anything to have done that to her. Knowing fully well that she had been conditioned to react this way when she seemed to have upset anyone, due to her twat of a father no less.
"C'mon, Tweety, don' be like that. Ah'll letcha pick the movie and we'll get trashed. How does tha' sound to ya?" She hesitated before looking up at him.
"You'll watch Young Frankenstein with me? You still didn't give the VHS back."
"Nah, ah forgot to. But, we'll watch whatever ya want. Ah want tah make ya happy an' if a movie wit' Gene Wilder in it makes ya happy, then thas' what we're gonna do," Lucas said hugging Tweety.
"Thank you, Lucas." She hugged back, clutching to his hoodie. Lucas again put the code into the barn door and it opened.
"If ya ever need tah get inside an ah'm not 'ere, the password is one-zero-one-nine." Tweety nodded and scratched her head as Lucas kept tugging at her arm, excited for her to see his 'home away from home.'
