Through the cell, we all bunched together and made our way into the main room. It was quite small, actually, considering the amount of prisoners that were cooped up inside. I had expected it to be at least tad larger, but it didn't take me long to remember that there was a significant amount of disrespect towards these people. I only sighed at the thought.

Speaking of disrespect, as soon as we all appeared in the main room, it appeared that the whole room began to quiet down and fix their eyes on us. Of course, I held in my breath because I didn't want to lose my composure, but with a bit of scanning, it was easy to see that they all weren't looking at me. Within seconds, the whole room became an uproar, with food and items pelting down upon Gamora. Amazingly enough, she was able to keep her seriousness and continued walking towards the elevators.

"Yep," Rocket started to speak, causing Peter and I to look down at him (he was in between us), "it's like I said, she's got a rep."

"For killing so many people?" I asked, causing him to nod.

"A lot of prisoners here have lost their families to Ronan and his goons." The raccoon paused and looked up at me with a devilish glint in his eyes. "Bet you 1,000 units that she'll last a day tops."

I couldn't help but chuckle at his comment and returned the glance.

"Bet you 1,000 that she'll last longer." I smirked, causing Rocket's face to brighten in surprise. Quickly enough though, I saw his expression cool down into burning confidence.

"Oh, you're on."

"Try me." I laughed. As I did so, I caught a "what the hell" glance from Peter, only causing me to shrug at him. He rolled his eyes at me, and looked down at Rocket.

"The guards will protect her, right?" Peter asked, with his eyes wide with suspense. I could have sworn that I caught that look of concern, but I couldn't tell if it was because the cost of 1,000 units for a silly bet like this was pure stupidity or, if it was because he actually cared for Gamora's safety. Deep down though, it didn't really matter because I was starting to feel the panic of the loss of 1,000 units. Rocket only grinned.

"They're only here to stop us from getting out. They don't care about what we do to each other inside." He laughed, causing Peter and I to exchange nervous glances. Shit!

While in mid-thought, I felt myself bump into another prisoner, and just as I was about to mumble out an apology, I felt an leathery, oily hand pinched at my chin. I jerked my head away from the sudden grip, but it was sturdier than I had anticipated, causing for my eyes to shift and assess the current situation.

I found that the prisoner I had bumped into was a large man of some sort, with a muscular build. His face looked very similar to a blobfish, and his skin was a light shade of blue. Glancing to his right arm, I could see that he had his entire hand gripped onto Peter's head.

"Well, would you guys check out the new meat!" He announced to the rest of the prisoners, who only roared and laughed along with his game. Again, I tried to jerk my head out of his grasp, only to feel his hand grip tighter. His thumb was pressing under my chin, latching onto my jaw, causing me to choke me a bit. At my sudden reaction, I saw a grin spread across his face and he brought his head closer to mine. "Oh, I'm gonna slather you up in Gunavian jelly, little girl." He taunted and shook my head a bit. "And then, I'll go to town-"

I heard a shriek of pain, and the hand let go of my face. Looking up at man again, I could see that Groot had shoved two of his fingers up the prisoner's nose and holding him off the floor.

"Alright, listen up!" Rocket yelled out to the crowd of prisoners'. "Let's make something clear. These two here, are our booty! You wanna get to them, you go through us! Or, more accurately," He paused, "we go through you."
