Denali
I woke up with a throbbing headache surrounded by people in shackles. We were all against a stone wall and my hands and neck were chained together to the wall. "Ali, thank goodness. Are you feeling alright?" I hear Lucy say. I turn to her and nod. Her and Eustace were on the left of me and some citizens were on the right. They were pretty shaken up.
"Are you guys alright? How long have I been out?"
"We're alright, we've just witnessed something pretty unnerving." She pauses, "Well you were knocked unconscious last night, it's almost noon now." Lu answers. Before she could say anything more she gets pulled up by one of the traders and gets brought onto a stage. Then they all burst out into bids. Starting with 20 and shooting up all the way to 150.
"Any more bids?" The trader says aloud, I watch Lucy's face turn into a disgusted but panicked emotion. He puts a sign that said 'Sold' around her neck and yells out the same word. She screams as they carry her to the man that just bought her. All I could do was turn away.
"And now for this, fine specimen. who'll kick off the bidding?" Eustace now gets dragged onto the stage. He was much more frightened than both Lucy and I and it showed very vividly. "Come on now.. he may not look like much but he's strong." Everyone talked amongst themselves but no one seemed to want to make a bid on him.
"Yeah he's strong alright.. smells like a rear end of a Minotaur!" A man from the crowd says, I couldn't help but stiffen a laugh.
"That is an outrageous lie!" He yelled out. Wow, could he get anymore stupid? "I won the school hygiene award, two years running!" I was shocked and so were all of the bidders but they all ended up laughing anyway.
"Come on! Someone make a bid!" Another pause. "Alright then, let's move on." He moves Eustace to the side and brings me up there. "Now we're talking. This little lady could be used for many things, cooking, cleaning, sex!" He drags and grabs my butt. I squeal and try to pull away but he just grabs my chin and pulls me closer to his face. He chuckles as I give him a menacing look and before he calls for the bidders the prices were already skyrocketing.
"200!"
"700!"
"I'll take them off your hands! I'll take all of them!" I hear a familiar voice come from a hooded figure coming towards us. He reveals himself as Drinian and Reep along with others in the crowd. "For Narnia!" They all yell out, startling Eustace and all the other bidders and traders.
"Guards! Guards! Move yourselves!" Someone yells. Reep jumps onto the man that held me and he lets go. I hit the ground but I automatically get back up and punch any man that came near me. Reep goes to unlock Lucy first as I was busy then he comes to me and bids me good luck. I grab onto a bag of coins and use that to hit someone and kick them off the elevated platform. There were cups and plates made of gold and stones and I used those to fight off people with swords. When I reached for another cup, I spotted Eustace flinching underneath a table. I just shake my head as I knew nothing could make him useful right now.
"Have you guys seen Edmund and Caspian yet?" I yell at Drinian.
"No, not yet your Majesty." I shrug it off as I continue to fight with these traders. All of a sudden, I see people coming out from their houses with shovels and anything they could fight with, yelling and helping us attack the traders. When the last one was left with Lucy and knocked unconscious all we could do was cheer.
I saw Edmund and Caspian coming towards us and I motion to Lucy that they were there. I run into Edmund's outstretched arms as Lucy does to Caspian's. "Oh thank goodness you're safe, I'm so glad." He says into my hair. I smile and kiss him on the cheek.
