A Kissed to Remember

Chapter 1: A Kiss!

"Jho!" Her dad called from downstairs. "Chris is here!"

"Coming!" Jho checked her reflection on her full-body mirror before heading out her room. She was wearing a light blue strapless tube dress that fell below her knees, it complimented the right curves, and she looked amazing especially with the way her blonde hair and blue eyes were complimented by the dress. 

Satisfied with the way she looked, she rushed down the stairs to where her dad and Chris were waiting.

"Hey" Chris said standing beside Jho. "You look great" He smiled.

Chris was one of those jocks that actually had a brain and the right manners, he was a true gentleman. 

He was wearing a black classic tuxedo with a light blue tie and had brown hair and deep blue eyes, he and Jho were the perfect couple in other people's eyes. 

Although for Jho, something was missing.

"Thanks" She responded, giving him a smile. She looked over to her dad who was holding a camera with a look of excitement on his face.

"Okay Dad, you can take the picture now" Jho grinned. Chris let out a small chuckle and put his hand around her waist.

"Oh, yes. this will take just a second" Mr. Dela Cruz quickly responded aiming the camera. He was so proud of his little girl.

Jho couldn't help but chuckle. "Okay dad that's enough" Mr. Dela Cruz had already taken about 10 or so pictures of Chris and Jho in different parts of the house, saying that a senior prom will only happen once in a lifetime to his little girl.

"Sorry about that" Jho said as she fastened her seat belt.

"No, it's okay" Chris said as he started driving. "If it were my mom, she would have taken a video"

"Yeah, but that was my dad!" They both laughed.

"So did you know that Dylan and Beatriz are officially together now?" Jho asked. Beatriz was her best friend, captain of the soccer team, student council president, straight-A student, and voted prettiest girl in school. She admired her a lot.

"Yeah, I'm the one that pushed him to ask her out" He replied turning the car in a curve. "I mean, he's been crushing on her ever since freshmen year. 

Though I didn't really think that she'd say yes"

"Well I'm glad she said yes" Jho replied "She's been turning down dates since senior year, she said she's "not in the mood" for dating"

"Guess she was pretty busy, you know?" Chris grinned "It's a good thing you weren't"

Jho turned to Chris and smirked "You do know that I've always been open for dating right?"

"Yeah, I knew that" He said. "And the 20 or more boyfriends you've had before me" Chris looked at Jho and gave her a chaste kiss "I'm glad I was your last"

Chris was Jho's best guy friend and when they tested it out she felt that he was the right one, or that he was the one she was most comfortable with.

"Me too" She smiled, holding his free hand.

They heard loud music coming from the Convention Hall as soon as they entered the hotel where the prom was being held.

They entered the room and walked towards the table where most of their friends were. She scanned the table and quickly found Beatriz drinking a glass of punch next to Dylan. 

Beatriz peeked through her glass and saw Jho, and immediately got up from her seat and walked towards her.

"Hey!" Beatriz greeted. "You look good. The both of you" Although Jho couldn't help but notice that Beatriz was only looking at her.
