                        Sakura

"Honey, are you sure you want to do this?"
I stare at my mother, her love for me was almost overwhelming. Without her I wouldn't know where I would be in life. I tossed her a grin as I taped the last box. "I am mom, Ive missed you."
My admission did nothing to soothe her anxiety, so I walked over and embraced her tightly. Tears came to my eyes and she sniffled and planted a kiss in my hair.
"Its just, you loved it here so much." She looked around my small apartment, it could no longer be called a home. Boxes were stacked on the small coffee table and more strung around the living room. "Its a pity you would leave it over some boy."
"He wasn't just some boy mama, it was Sasori." The impulse to protect him was strong, but I couldn't help it. Ive spent the last six years head over heels for the fool, "I just can't be here anymore I want to go back home."
Mama smirked at me before throwing her hand on her hip, "Now Sakura, you've never even lived in Konoha, so how could it be your home?" She looked at me teasingly and I planted a wet sloppy kiss on her cheek.
"My home is wherever you are."
Her eyes sparkled in amusement as she swatted at me,"Yeah I hear you, now start moving these boxes to the truck, my back is bad. Surely you aren't taking all of these?"
She gestured to the many boxes and I shook my head, "No. Just the necessities. Sasori has agreed to deal with the rest, seeing as half of it is his."
Her mom looked angry as she nodded. She treated Sasori as one of her own and I'm sure she feels conflicted over this development. She had asked many times if we could reconcile before I begged her to make the six hour drive down here to help me move, but I just couldn't forgive him. "Its a shame he couldn't keep his pants buckled, you two made a lovely couple." She huffed a strand of hair from her eyes as she heaved a box up.
The images of  him came to mind and I quickly wished them away. It never worked, wishing seemed to make the images repeat. "What about school Sakura."
Mama glared at me, silently daring me to say I quit. I flashed her a smile. "Konoha is known for its local college I hear."
She nodded and walked out the door, I sighed heavily while I looked around the apartment. It felt so empty and sad now that nearly everything was packed, while Sasori was here it seemed cozy and full of love and happiness.  So many memories were packed into this small little home it was unbearable. I stared at the ugly orange couch shoved against the far wall, I hated it but Sasori had fallen in love with it, said something about it had called to him. It was one of the most serious fights they had. Over a couch. A tear slipped down my face because I knew I would miss the ugly orange thing. I quickly wiped my cheeks and grabbed two boxes before struggling out the door.
My goodbye had already come and gone the moment I found Sasori in bed with my best friend.

I glance towards the reirveiw mirror, not liking how close the car behind me was coming. The driver was obviously stupid, ever heard of personal space? Mama lets out a loud snore as I ease my foot onto the gas pedal. She drove down to help me move on the terms that I drive on he way back.
I didn't mind driving especially since the truck's worn leather seats were comfy but I did hate the traffic. Konoha was supposedly a small town surrounded by the wilderness, so why was there such bad traffic on the way in?  I peeked at the GPS laying in my lap, we had roughly fifteen minutes till the turnoff for Konoha.
"I hear the college is having a game today," Mama surprised me by her sudden comment, "perhaps we can go if we get there in time." She glared at me as if the cars taking up the road was my fault.
"Maybe, its only three. Though I would like to get settled in before we go anywhere."
"Nonsense" she waved her hand in the air, "just bring the boxes into the house and get dressed. Nothing fancy of course. The boys around here sure are quite lookers though so I wouldn't bypass the makeup."  She stared at my bare face in amusement, probably reminiscing on my teen years when I would forever be horrified if I was caught in public without makeup covering my imperfections.
I scowled as I turned onto the winding way leading to Konoha, my life would be hell if mama keeps this up.
