Ed's point of view....

I ran after that girl. I knew I heard metal hit the concret when she fell. I followed her down an alleyway. She stopped and I skidded to a stop. "Wait!" I yelled at her. She was ready to fight. Al stood behind me. She looked around almoat like she was looking for someone or something. "Who are you?" She demanded. I crossed my arms and shifted my weight. "Who are you?" I asked her.

"You two are state alchemists." She realized, "G-get away from m-me!"

"Whoa there kid calm down." I said. She backed away and hit the wall behind her. "My name's Edward Elric." I told her and pointed back to Al, "This is my little brother, Alphonse Elric." She looked like that meant nothing.

"So....your the little brother?" She hesitantly asked. I went red.

"WHO YOU CALLING LITTLE?" I shouted. Al held me back.

"Brother stop." Al said, "Look, she's scared." I looked and saw she fell to her knees and was trembling. I calmed down and knelt in front of her.

"Al's the little brother." I softly told her.

"S-so you're the ol-older brother, then?"

"Yeah I'm fourteen. Al would be thirteen."

"I'm fourteen too. My sister would be sixteen. We....well....I don't trust state alchemists or the military. Not after...." she trailed off. Then another suit of armor in a buttoned up sleeveless coat came walking over. "What's going on?" It asked. The voice was definitely female.

Gwendolyn's point of view....

"Is there a girl in there?" The boy kneeling in front of Emilie asked. I giggled at that.

"You're funny."  I said laughing. Both boys stared blankly at me.

Emilie sighed, "Why don't you two State Alchemists go back to where you came from." She testily demanded, "And leave me and my sister alone!"

The blond haired boy looked like he was trying to keep his patience and Emilie is just being difficult. The boy in the other suit of armor spoke up.

"How about my big brother takes  you to get something hot to eat and your sister and I can stay right here and talk about what's going on." That seemed like a logical and reasonable decision. But Emilie was reluctant to say yes but she did. When Emilie and the boy who looked to be about her age left me and the boy in the armor sat down leaning up against the wall.

"I'm Alphonse Elric." He said.

"Nice to meet you Alphonse, my name is Gwendolyn."

"So are you the youngest sister?" Alphonse asked. I shook my head.

"My sister is the youngest. She's fourteen and I'm two years older than her."

"Why does she hate State Alchemists so much?" Fair question. I'll give him that.

"We trusted the Military and State Alchemists but we were experimented on by those we had trusted. I lost my body and my sister lost her arm and leg. She bounded my soul to this armor. That's why we don't like the Military or State Alchemists. We never knew that there were others like us out in the world. Is there any more like us besides you and your brother?"

"No, it's just means Edward and now it's you and your sister. Cornel Mustang sent us to retrieve you two. What is it? Do you know hi?"

"Wait until Emilie and Edward get back." I said.

They came back and Edward explained that Roy Mustang sent for us. There was a look of shock on Emilie's face. We both remembered Roy but he was about the same age as me. But it didn't matter. He was our best friend and Emilie was nervous about seeing him again. "So, you two were sent by Roy to get us and bring us back to Central and what would we do there exactly?" I asked. Edward shrugged. They didn't know what this really means for us.

"Lets go then boys!" Emilie marched away towards the train station. Once we got into our seats and the train Emilie was humming a song to herself. The train lurched forwards and Emilie fell asleep against Ed. Al and I sat on one side and Emilie and Ed sat on the other.
