Logan: Hey, u think i can pass by 2 c lottie?

Kaitlyn: I'm going there rite now

Logan: I can take u if u want

Kaitlyn: As much as i'd like to ride in a mc laren, i can't. my dad's picking me up

Logan: oh ok, c u there?

Kaitlyn: yeah, c u there

I look up to see my dad's car swoop into the school gates. I get into his car and put the seatbelt on.

"Next week is Lottie's birthday"My dad says just as I close the door.

"Oh yeah! She's gonna be nine"I smile "You know, Logan thinks she's gonna be a doctor when she grows up"

"She might be, she's always asking questions about how trees grow and why bees sting"He chuckles.

"Logan's coming today"I add.

"Really? I'm surprised, he really is nothing like I expected"He whispers under his breath.

"What do you mean?"I frown at him.

"Nothing. It's just amazing how much people change"He vaguely responds.

Before I can ask another question, we arrive at the hospital to find Logan and the guy I'd met at his house yesterday waiting near the doors.

"Wait, that's the girl?"Says the roommate rudely.

"It's her sister, Dylan"Says Logan, waving at me and my dad.

"Hey Logan"My dad greets him.

"They wouldn't let us in"Logan points towards the desk.

"No problem, let's go"My dad walks in and we follow.

"You should teach that girl some manners"Dylan, the roommate, mumbles to Logan.

"I can hear everything you're saying, and besides, you're the one who slammed the door in my face remember?"I remind him menacingly.

"Told ya!"He glares at me accusingly.

Logan merrily chuckles softly and follows my dad into Lottie's hospital room.

"For god's sake, I hope you don't get your rudeness from your family"Dylan adds.

"Do you get your lack of grammar from yours? cause last time I checked, rudeness wasn't even a word"I point out, not bothering to open the door for him.

"Logan!"I hear Lottie squeal in excitement.

"Hello Logan, and who might you be?"My mum refers to Dylan.

"This is Dylan"Logan intervenes before Dylan manages to speak."He's my roommate, is it ok if he stays?"

"Of course he can!"My mum beams at them.

"Does Dylan read stories too?"Dan asks innocently.

"Yeah right"I scoff.

"No, Dylan's here to......say hi"Logan says.

"Will you read us a book Logan?"Ann asks while Lottie smiles at him expectantly.

"Why else would I come?"he grins and sits on the bed, just like yesterday and starts reading the book for them.

This time, it's Cinderella, and despite the fact that Dan wasn't into fairy tales, Logan's voice and way of reading was breath taking. It was so mind blowing, even I managed to fall asleep, and after that....
