He exited his cell and alarms started to sound, red lights flashing like they do in prison escape movies with the red lights that go off in the prisons in those movies where there's a prison escape going on and then red lights start flashing like they do in those movies.
He rushed down the stairs to the bottom floor of his cell block, lightly grasping the railing on the sides. He heard other security guards from the cell block behind him, chasing him. "Hey! Get back to your cell, we're on lockdown!" they yelled. He didn't have to explain himself to them, he kept running, eventually turning that into a full sprint up the 6 flights of stairs. They were pretty far behind now, they were down on the 3rd floor and he was at the top, the level of the facility where the Warden's office is.
His door was open a crack, lights dim, flickering. Harold pushed the door open to see who was inside, the double arched carved wooden doors creaking annoyingly.
He opened the door to see Dr. Walker and Dr. Owens standing over the Warden's dead body, as well as Officer Mason's. Blood was flooding the rug-covered floors. The 2 doctors both had handguns and held them up when Harold entered the room. The officers made it to the top floor rushing into Harold in the doorway, grabbing his shoulders before realizing what he was staring at.
"Dr. Walker? Owens? Why?" One of the security guards asked, evidently pissed off and outraged.
"Officer Peters? No, look, you don't get it. This wasn't us! This was him!"
"We've been chasing him, the gunshot happened before he came running past us from his cell. We know this was you."
"Peters, Officer Bentley, he threatened me! The Warden, he said I was fired if I didn't help him escape!" Dr. Owens exclaimed.
"So you killed him?!" Officer Peters cried, equipping his handgun from his holster, Bentley doing the same.
"I had to! We had to, we need these jobs!" Dr. Owens screamed, pointing the gun at Peters, instead of Harold. Dr. Walker held the gun at Officer Bentley, giving Harold the chance to charge and take the 2 doctors down.
