He sat there sobbing on the fence, at one point, he screamed at the sky. Both of his friends that helped him escape--dead. They both died because of him, as well as the Warden. He didn't even like the Warden, but it was still his fault. Harold was a parasite, a virus. These 3 were important people, and they were all killed due to him starting all of this in the first place. He wiped his eyes and scrambled to his feet, trying not to look at Danielle's corpse, he wanted to give her a proper burial, but he couldn't touch her after everything he'd done, not now. He felt terrible for this, and he knew he was a terrible person for costing everyone so much. He regretted everything he'd done. He clenched onto the fence behind him and heaved himself up off the grass. There was a lot of gunfire coming from the Asylum, now. A mass amount of people had died during this, Harold didn't know how to feel about this, he just felt weak. He wanted them all to die before, now he just didn't care if they did or not. He was so exhausted, he wanted to go home. He walked away slowly from everything that was left after that war within that hellhole. That placed destroyed him, he just needed to get away from it all.
For the next 5 months, Harold lived in a relatively small cabin out in the plains to train to use his speed better, to master his strength. He learned to hunt, he figured out how to prevent Felix and Maroon from popping out and taking control, a calming technique. He increased his normal speed from 100-250 miles per hour up to 250-300 miles per hour. He learned how to summon his speed and strength and when to run and use normal strength without everything around him freezing and/or breaking. He knew that everything that had happened in the asylum had weakened him, not only did it weaken him, it broke him. He wasn't MidKnight due to all the tragedies that happened to him in there, and after he got out. He needed to train to become better and reinvent himself to be MidKnight again. If he didn't, his city would be doomed by him, if it wasn't already doomed by now. Harold tried to search the asylum for supplies and survivors, he couldn't as soon as he got close enough to see the fences, he turned back and never attempted to go near there again. After the 7 months and about 26 extra days he was away from home, he finally decided he was ready to return home and he did. He didn't visit his friends when he arrived, he bought a room in a crappy motel to construct a new suit, create some new weapons and to gather information about what has been going on in Blackstone City since he's been gone, and the disasters he found in the city's news outlets were terrible. His city was doomed, and he wasn't sure how he'd save it from this.
