Control [Ty x Reader]

A/N: You guys had been begging for a Ty x Reader so here's something to hold you over! For all of you that haven't read my x reader "One and Only", Ty was one of your friends who's hot as hell. This is a continuation of the epilogue by the way. Enjoy this!

It was ten o'clock at night and you two still hadn't run out of things to say.

The reception didn't die down since it started at four PM and all the partying and dancing wore both of you out. You told Daveed that you and Ty would be taking a walk outside the venue for some fresh air and escaped to the garden area.

"My fucking foundation is melting," Ty said while fanning her face. "It feels like the Sahara Desert in there."

All you could do was smile. Sometimes you really didn't have words for her.

"So tell me about this woman you brought to my wedding," you said. "You two stole the show."

"I disagree."

"Everyone was trying to talk to you! Everyone loved you on the show, you know that right?"

"Sure." She shook her head with a smirk. "It's nothing though. We're nothing."

"Ty." You stopped walking and she stopped with you. "This can't be nothing. You can be honest with me."

"I am being honest!" she claimed.

"What's her name?"

"Detra."

"When did you meet?"

"We had been friends before I signed up for the show. She didn't want me to but it's Daveed Diggs. He's hot as hell," Ty explained. "I didn't even know she liked me."

"So what happened when you got eliminated?"

She stared at you for a while before waving hair out of her face. "(Y/N), I really don't want to talk about it."

"Ty...?" You searched her eyes for a sign. "What the heck? You're scaring me."

"It's nothing. I told you already."

"It's not nothing. Stop saying that. What happened?"

"I don't even know, okay? A lot of things happened. I thought I liked her too and so we went out a lot and that's what 70% of my Instagram feed was after I got eliminated. It was fun and I really liked her so I asked her to be my girlfriend and she said yes."

"...so...?"

"(Y/N), I don't know."

"What don't you know?!"

"I don't know if I want her anymore. She's ending up not being my type."

"Breakup with her," you said simply.

"It's not that easy."

"Why not?"

"I don't know, she's...different."

"Different how?"

Ty opened her mouth but closed it. "Can we talk about something else? Please?"

"No, something's wrong and you need to tell me." You weren't letting this go that easy.

"She's just...controlling."

"Oh hell no. I'll fight her." You had changed out of your wedding dress into a short, white cocktail dress and some wedge heels so you knew you could hurt someone if you needed to.

"You don't need to fight anyone, okay? It's fine."

"But you don't want this relationship. Breakup with her. Just do it!"

"Then I'll be lonely for the rest of my life. The only other person I really like is you and you're married to the other only person I really like so it's looking really bleak for me," she sighed, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.

"I'm sorry," you whispered.

"It's fine. I'll just wait and see what happens."

"But if things really do get bad for you, please leave Detra. I'm begging you."

"I will, I promise." She took your hands in hers and squeezed them tight. "I love you so much. Thanks for caring about me."

"Why would I not care? You're my best friend."

She smiled and pulled you into a huge hug. You could tell she was struggling in this relationship but there wasn't much you could do. It was her life.

"You know, we could always run away and get married secretly," you suggested. "Daveed wouldn't have to know."

"You're totally right. But the funny thing is, (Y/N), for a long time I think I liked you more than Daveed," she confessed, a hint of insecurity evident in her tone.

"Really?"

"Yeah. It's stupid, I know but-"

"No, it's not stupid and that doesn't change how I feel about you. But I'm sure there's someone out there a million times better than me that'll make you equally and maybe even more happy. I promise."

Ty smiled and brought you back in for a hug. "I literally love you so much."

"I love you more."
