Greed

Emily's point of view
The world went black.All light, all electricity gone in an instant. My family and I waited for months for the light to come back on.
People are greedy they take and take until there is nothing left to give.Its been five months since the light first went out. It's dangerous now. No more cars no more police radios no more cell phones.
The military tell us to stay in our homes if we don't have a police officer with us.People are spreading rumors that the government did this to cause chaos and to make people less greedy.I don't believe the rumors but lots of people do. If the rumors are true it didn't make people less greedy it just made people want more. People are never satisfied they just want more and more.
The rich families are the most protected but my family is not rich so we have low protection. My father says that the most greedy people are the ones who have the most.I hear my parents arguing at night my mom wants to get out of the city but my dad says it's unsafe.They don't want me and my little brother to hear them arguing so they argue when they think we are asleep.
