I walk back down stairs and walk over to my Papi "I'm ready Papi"
"Ok Em let's head out to the farm" My father says to me as we walk out the door.
"Papi why won't the guards let anyone leave?"I ask him
"I don't know Em but I'm going to find out"
I start picking the fruits and vegetables and put them in the basket. Suddenly I hear loud noises that sound like gun shots and bombs me and my dad run for cover and make it to the barn with the animals
"Papi I'm scared."I say quietly
"I know Em but it's going to be ok"my father says to calm me down
"Promise?"I ask
"Yes Em I promise" he says as he hugs me
I burry my face in his shoulder to hide the fear that is in my eyes. There are so many gun shots and bombs going off.
