" Caroline said , You'll be fine baby girl , just have confidence to anything he says. " KC said , " Thank you mom. " The oven timer buzzed , and Caroline said , " The cookies are done. " KC smiled & finished up her dinner. Caroline said , " Let me know how it goes , and taste this & see how it tastes. " KC ate the chocolate chip cookie , and said , " It tastes great. " Caroline ate one & said , " I'm glad you like it. " KC said , " OK mom I gotta head out see you later. "  Caroline said , " Oh honey , I won't be here when you get back I have to show a house , and a big presentation to present yo my colleges." KC said , " I got my keys , and good luck mom. " Caroline said , Bye bye honey. " KC got into her car , and drove to Scott's house. KC looked for some where to park , and parked her car, KC walked onto the bridge that led her right to the front to let her in. Scott gave her a kiss , and said , " Hey there." KC said , " Hey baby. " Scott didn't say anything , then Scott said , " When did you take the test ?" KC said , " The night I went to Katy's house ." Scott said , " Where's the test ?" KC took the test out of her purse , and gave it to Scott. Scott looked at it , and said , " Damn !" KC didn't say anything  , then Scott said , " I'm mad KC it's that I'm happy that I'm going to a daddy. " KC said , " But I'm black Scott. " Scott looked at KC & said , " I don't care about that color doesn't mean shit your beautiful & I will be a good mother to my child. " KC looked down at the floor , and  said , " Scott your parents don't know about us , and my dad could lose his job , because your dad & my dad are the top five lawyers in this community. " Scott said , " KC I can't lose you or my baby that's growing inside of you. " KC said , " I guess I should've never gotten in this in the first place ." Scott said , " KC come with me tonight to meet my parents , and we'll tell them together alone when the party's over. " KC said , " Just as long as you promise you'll be with me every step of the way. " Scott put his head against KC's and said, " I promise baby. " Then Scott said , " So we're going to be parents soon huh ?" KC said , " Yeah I guess so. " Scott touched KC's stomach & leaned down & kissed it. Then minutes later , Scott came & sat at the table. KC asked , " What's wrong ?" Then Scott said , " Your too beautiful." KC smiled & Scott kissed her on the cheek. Mr. & Mrs. Collins came, and sat at the table. Scott said , " Mom ; Dad I'd like you to meet KC Harmony." Mr. Collins said , " Nice to meet you & then asked , " Your Rick Harmony's daughter ?" KC said, " Yes sir I am." Mr. Collins said , " He's a good friend of mines in the firm." KC said , " Yes I've heard." Mrs. Collins said , " Hey deary, how are you ?" KC said , " Fine just fine." Then Scott said , " When the party's over KC and I have to tell you guys some important news." Scott's parents said , " Sure thing." The  Collins hugged KC one more time , and went to entertain some guests. Scott said , " You wanna dance?" KC said , " Sure thing." Scott started smiling , and took KC's hand. KC & Scott were dancing together laughing & talking. Then Scott said , " I just hope they take this news okay." KC said , " Same thing I'm saying." Scott said, " Let's not let that worry us though don't stress the baby out." KC said , " Yeah sure." KC said , " Twirl me." Scott twirled KC around , and back to face him. KC smiled & said , " Your a good dancer." Scott smirked and humped up his shoulders. Hours later the party ended , and Scott went over to his parents. Then KC sat at the table in the other part of the house. Scott came in , and said , " Their coming , be confident & give honest answers." KC said , " You ain't gotta tell me twice." Scott kissed KC , and Scott's parents said , Hello again." Then they sat down at the table , and said , " So what's the news?" Scott said , " I haven't told you that I've been dating KC Harmony for 8 months now." Then Mr. Collins said , " We figured you've met someone , but didn't expect it to be her." KC said , " Her as in black you mean." Scott said , " Dad , Mom that's not the point I don't care what race she is I'm in love with her." Mrs. Collins said , " Honey are you sure ?" Scott said , " Yes I am." Then Mr. Collins said , " You don't know what love is , and what makes you think that she loves you ?" Then Scott said , " When she told me that she's pregnant with my child , and that she'll stand up to anyone who tries to get in our way of our little family." The Collins looked shocked and said , " Nonsense your lieing Scott." Scott took the pregnancy test out of his pocket & showed it to his parents." They looked at it , and Scott grabbed KC's hand & smiled at her. KC & Scott sat there in silence waiting for them to say something. Mrs. Collins said , " We're just surprised that you've finally brought someone home , and can finally say you found love." Mr. Collins said , " KC ?" KC said , " Yes sir?" Mr. Collins said , " You have a remarkable young man here , and by your father's actions at the company congratulations." KC said , " Thank you." Mrs. Collins smiled & said , " We're going to be grandparents." Scott said , " So what are really saying ?" The Collins said , " We're saying we aren't racist , and that we're proud of the both of you for giving us all something to believe in." Mr. Collins said , " KC tell your father that I wanna throw him a big party on his promotion & his new wife." KC said , " Thank you sir and I will." Mrs. Collins said , " KC sorry I know it's hard for you to accept a new mother into your life , especially when you've lost yours 3 years ago." KC said , " Yes ma'am it is , hard but I'm happy for him." Mr. & Mrs. Collins smiled & said , " I want to announce your pregnancy to our guests and family to welcome a new one your about to bring into this world." KC & Scott said , " That'll be fine , just as long as they play nice." Mrs. Collins said , " Don't worry KC we'll take good care of you honey." Scott said , " Mom , Dad one more thing." Scott scooted from the table , and got on one knee in front of KC and held out a big diamond ring. KC couldn't believe Scott had felt like this. Mr. & Mrs. Collins looked happy and smiling. Scott said , " KC Harmony will you marry me ?" KC said , " Yes , yes I will marry you." Scott slod the ring on KC's finger , and stood up & kissed her. Mr. & Mrs. Collins came from around the table , and hugged them both. They both said , " We'll be celebrating a lot after all." KC looked at the at the diamond ring Scott placed on her finger. Mrs. Collins said , " Let me see  dear." KC held her hand out , and Mrs. Collins said , " It's a keeper , and it's beautiful on you." Then Mrs. Collins hugged KC , and kissed her on her forehead. Mr. Collins said , " Your father's going to be proud of you KC." Then KC smiled & hugged Mr. Collins. Then KC & Scott waved goodbye to Scott's parents , and headed back to Scott's house for a while.
