It was Monday morning and everyone knew Monday meant school. Mike was still mad about Lucas being worried. "He never gave a damn about El until she left so why does he care now?" He said to himself. Mike knew to keep it to himself because Lucas was sensitive. He rode to school and Dustin said "Heyo Mike." But Lucas ignored him and Will said "Oh dear looks like rain." Lucas muttered "Let's go inside or we'll get all soggy." They walked in and no one said a word. The day seemed to drag in forever with no end insight. Right when Mike thought the day couldn't be any longer the dismissal bell rung. Mike got his bike but waited for his friends. They all came out and Lucas glanced at Mike but Mike didn't look at him. They rode back to Mike's house and when they came in. Karen said "Afternoon boys. Want some pizza?" "Sure mom. Can you also make some lemonade?" Mike said.
