He was your average kid, maybe not.

Why, do you ask?

Like a normal, common child, he hates school. Who doesn't?

He hated the teachers, he hated the kids there. He hated the boring stuff which he was forced to stuff in his brain. He hated it all. But, he had a valid reason, unlike others.

Typically, some students just had to be bullied on. Whether on their size or merely because they followed the wrong trends. Kai's bullying case didn't fall under any of those.

He was bullied for having no parents. For having no siblings. For having a DEAD family. It was torture, plain torture. Every day he went to school and was immediately greeted with shoves and kicks, childish name-callings, you name it. He detests what happened.

He hated his life. He gave up on it. He felt he had no more purpose.

Then he came.

His 'brother'.

Zane Julien.

The met online, while Kai was checking his United feed. 

Kai only posted depressing images, images to show what he really was feeling. He gave away all his information. He lost his mind. Life felt like a 100-kilogramme weight smashing him. He just wanted to give up everything. Give them up, so that someone will come and take him, and hopefully kill him.

Of course, he knew people were mean. They merely liked and commented, thinking it was only to grab attention to pity him. The people using the app sure were united.

He almost gave up telling people how he really felt, when he saw he had a new private message. Curious, he opened them up.

Hey, @kai. I'm your neighbour and I want to bring you to my house. Stay with me. A 9-year-old kid shouldn't be suffering and living on his own like this. Please. My house isn't bad, it's big enough for you to join. You may not know me since you only stay in your house and even when you go out, your head is always bowed down. So please, I beg you. I don't want to see my neighbour like this. It's ok if you refuse, but I just want to help. Answer me with a yes or no and I will make arrangements to pick you up. :)

Kai stared at his phone. 

'Someone actually replied?' He thought to himself. Part of him was over the moon, yet the other part was doubtful. He didn't really want to socialise. What if this neighbour of his bullies him like everyone else? But who was he kidding? He literally had a 3 room house all to himself! Maybe he should give it a shot. Yeah...it might work out.

That was how Kai felt at least some reassurance in his life for the first time ever since his family's death. Hopefully, things would be better. Oh, how he needs a saviour. A hero to save him from his doubts and horrors.
