Friends Become Lovers *COMPLETE*

Winter

It was almost the end of winter I missed Kate dearly I walked to the lake and sat down on the cold snow and thought about Kate I miss her so much

I sat there for awhile until I lifted my muzzle in the air and started to howl.

Every body heard my howl and started to cry because of my deep sorrowness I howled and howled until I couldn't anymore

After a few minutes I stopped and looked at the stillness of the lake and I started to walk away

*KATE'S POV*

I was standing in position while my trainor was pep talking us my mind drifted off to humphrey he probably misses me and I missed him but, I got to stay here and train if I'm going to be the future leader I have to train for my mom, dad, sister, friends, and for humphrey

"Kate! My trainor shouted knocking me out of my thoughts

"Y-yes" I replyed

"Get your head out of dream land and get in position"

I soon got in position my teeth bared and my paws deep in the snow ready to attack

"OK, Kate and blaze are you ready!

"Yes" we both said at the same time

"OK, ready, set, go!

I ran to my opponent I jumped and tried to claw his face he dodged my attack swiped my side leaving only a scratch

I got up quickly and bit his neck knocking him down

"Great job Kate and blaze we need to work on your attacks"

I ran my laps with the other wolves and started thinking

"Don't worry Humphrey I'll be back soon just wait"

*NO ONE'S POV*

I laid down in my den and started sulking what am I going to do

"Oh, who I'm I kidding? She's an Alpha I'm an Omega this will never work out. And Winston told me Alphas and Omegas can't be together" I thought

"Damn you pack law! Why does it have to be this way? I said to myself

I walked out and felt a ball of snow hit my face I looked and saw Lily, Salty, Shakey, And Mooch laughing their ass off

"Come on guys I wasn't ready"

I grabbed a pawfull of snow and threw it at Shakey and the game was on we started playing in the snow all day

It was starting to get dark everyone parted their separate ways Humphrey walked in his den and laid down and looked outside a fresh blanket off snow covering the ground

He turned around facing the wall soon heard paw steps behind him he turned around and saw Eve standing at the mouth of the cave she walked over and laid beside him

"Hi, Humphrey" Eve greeted

"Hi"

"How are you feeling?

I buried my head under her neck feeling her warmth from the cold

"Nothing, I just miss my bestest friend ever since she left for alpha school I have know one to talk too" explained humphrey

"You can always talk to me"

"I know Mom, I-I M-Mean Eve"

I realized I just made a mistake I just called her mom im so embarrassed right now

"I-Im sorry I shouldn't have called you that"

"No, it's okay do you want to tell me what happened to your parents if you don't mind me asking"

"Well a couple of weeks ago before Mr. Winston found me my parents was teaching me how to hunt then out in the woods the leader of the rival pack and 15 other wolves was targeting me and my parents but, they wanted me more" Humphrey continued

"While my dad was fighting the pack with the other members but, his *sniffle* neck was snapped and my mom she died by suffocating"

I broke down into tears wetting her fur I couldn't hold it in any more my parents was gone and I have no one except for Eve of course why does bad stuff always happening to me? Why can't I have a normal family like any other wolves.

Eve was speaking kind words to me trying to calm me down my cries died down soon afterwards

*Sniffle* well that's my story I'll hope you'll understand

"I understand completely" she said as she pulled me closer hugging me what seemed like hours

*KATE'S POV*

I lay in my den that night thinking about Humphrey​ I did truly loved him but, I didn't want to show it. If my dad knew I was in love with an Omega they will kill me or worse disown me.

I closed my eyes and visualized me being with Humphrey which will be the best day of my life. A couple of weeks until winter is over and I will be back in Jasper with my family and Humphrey

And I really miss my sister I never really know where she came from she was the only white wolf in the entire pack and I'm an alpha she's an Omega and she's not related to our family but, didn't care I drifted into a slumber

Because the next day will be a whole nother challenge
