Present

Marco Diaz sat on the couch in front of the television. Star Butterfly had her head on his lap with her legs off the armrest. They were watching a show about penguins but they weren't really watching that. They were looking at each other. They didn't really say anything they just stared into each other's eyes with looks of joy, periodically Star would lean up and kiss him. Every time he'd whisper something cute into her ear, everything from "I'm so glad you're mine."It's adorable how you chew on your wand." Star leaned up and they kissed and made silent noises. When they pulled away, he whispered softly into her ear, so softly it gave her goosebumps, "I don't know who I'd be if you would've never shown up, I love you." With that Star kissed him again and said it back. After a little, Star thought about what he had said. This made Star think of when she first arrived on Earth Dimension from Mewni Dimension, she remembered the first time she saw him and how she thought he was a total dweeb, and then how after getting to know him, how awesome he was,  so many memories leading up to this point.  She knew there'd be more bad guys and fights and stuff in the future but for now Marco was enough and that made star happy.

Stars POV: ( work on sleep transition better)
I sat up and rested my head on his chest. As I slowly fell asleep to the sound of his heartbeat, his strong, beautiful heartbeat, I thought about our past together and the future yet to come. When I finally fell asleep I dreamed about the first place I went to in earth dimension, my parents had just left and I sat in the principal Skeeve's office, still marveling at the not magical magic of light bulbs, while he, still holding the chest of gems and gold my parents gave him, had used the intercom. He had said, "Marco Diaz to the principals office. Marco to the principals office." Afterwards the principal said, "Come with me." and we went to walk around campus which confused me since he called the boy to his room. After about a minute a scrawny looking, tan skinned boy with short-ish brown hair walked up to us, I didn't know it then, but this was the day my one true love walk into my life.
Marco kind of sauntered over to us but still seemed mildly scared, like someone might jump out at him and he was prepared( make better analogy)! He smiled at me when he came closer, making eye contact with me. It seemed like he wanted to look into my eyes for longer but he looked away quickly. He looked at the principal and asked "Am I in trouble?". He seemed almost hopeful. The principal smiled as if Marco's comment was funny, and then said, "No,no! I don't think you even know what being in trouble is. Come with us. Meet our new foreign exchange student! I need someone responsible to lead our new foreign exchange student around, who better than the safe kid!" The principal gestured to me with the comment before and I giggled when he called Marco the safe kid.
Marco fought being a safe kid, I think I was distracted by a water fountain, after that the principal ran away with the chest and Marco started leading the way. The whole time telling me how he didn't get why he was a safe kid while protecting me from minor dangers.  I kept on giggling, 'He's cute and funny. I'm so glad he's my best friend,' I thought, 'He seems to know everything!' 
On our tour he said, "Frankly, I like taking risks and would welcome a little danger in my life," so I turned a butterfly into a monster to help him be more dangerous. He totally freaked out and the butterfly-monster thing flew away taking a student on the way.  He screamed,"What the heck was that?!?" I suppressed a laugh and told him, "I thought you wanted more danger in your life?"  He said something else I didn't hear and then left.
After he was gone I went to the school counselor like the principal said for me to do after I toured the school. I needed to see him so I could find my new home while I was on earth!

I looked at the address and found my new home. I knocked on the door and a huge Hispanic man and a short busty woman answered the door.  With big smiles they nearly shouted in unison," You must be the new foreign exchange student! You're going to love it here. Come in!" Then the man took over," My name is Rafael and this is my wife, Angie. We can't wait to get to meet you Star...Butterfly? I love the name!!"
