Chapter 2

"Jessica um the sky is black." Payton said trying to act calm.

"Ya it is...i think its just a storm." God if people only knew how much i lied to them.

"Im going to go outside and see what it is." I said as she shot me a look of worry.

I didnt let her respond and ran out the house. I say that there was a streak of blue but only me can see it. How i knew that was because it had my name on it. Usally when a name is written in the sky only you can see it.I started to walk down the blue line. As i got close to the end i saw something. I didnt belive my eyes. It was my old best friend Tessa. I Ran up to her but i notice something was diffrent about her. She was the one makeing the black sky.

"Tessa?" i said as she whipped her head around.

She ran up to me and gave me a big hug.

"What are you hugging me for."

"Jessica i have been makeing these dark sky with your name in it trying to find you."

"Why."

I have known Tessa since i was born. I left her when my parents died.

She then spoke in a soft tone she always does"Something happen." Its funny i couldnt belive Tessa make the sky black, she didnt have powers and its also very funny because shes so short, has a skinny face and had brown hair.

"Tessa your going to have to be add more to that... what happen."

"Another one of us died the other day. Hunters are getting more and more popular."

"Oh god.....Who died?" I asked, all i hope for was that it wasnt Jim. He and Tessa were my bestfriends. They also knew what i was becuase they were the same thing as me.

"Its Jim." I started to cry. One of my bestfriends. Dead.

"So its just us." I asked. Tessa and Jim were the only ones that i knew that were like me.

"Ya, That we know of."

"We have to stick together. I cant have you makeing dark skys scaring the shit out of me anymore.You can live we me and my aunt."

THE NEXT DAY

"Hey Jessica, wait up." I look over and see Payton.

"What happen yesterday."

"Nothing it was just a storm.I got lost in the woods." Again with the lying.

Tessa came running up with her classes list in hand.

"Jessica do we have any classes together?"

I look over and see that we have all of our classes together.

"Oh sorry Payton this is Tessa, Tessa this is Payton." After they said hi to eachother we went to lunch and i ran into someone dropping all my stuff. My drawing book flew opeing and open up to one of the pages. "Oh no" i muttered. No one has ever seen my art.

"Holy cow." said the guy i ran into. I look up and see i ran into carter. "sorry i didnt see you." i whispered.

"Your really good at drawing." He said and looks at me straight in the eyes.

"Thanks"

"So Tonight i have a special place im taking you." he said as he started to smirk.

"Oh ya sounds fun."i said trying to sound nice.

"Bring your art book i want to see more." He said as he headed off to his lunch table but befor he sat down he sent me a wink. All i could do was blush.

The day went by pretty fast after lunch like it always does. When i got home thought i saw a note on the counter top.

DEAR JESSICA,

I HAVE A SUPRISE METTING I HAD TO GO TO IN TEXAS BE BACK SOON

LOVE AUNT RACHEL.

I read the note and started to get ready. It was 5:30 when i got changed out of my school clothing. I get distracted easily. Talking for school ends at 2:40.

DING DONG.

I ran down to catch the door. Wait no. Jessica you cant be falling for him... to much at risk.I mentally talked to my self. I open the door and walk out, only to notice him standing in the dark. We started to walk to his car and he started to put a blind fold on me. He didnt want me to see it at all befor he even said i can look. As i hear the car start to stop he tells me too look and i see a great big water fall.

"Oh my gosh. Its so pretty." I said as i walked over to the water fall.

"Look at this."

Carter then slipped under the water fall and went on the other side. I did the same. The other side of the water fall was huge.

"Jessica." He said.

"Ya."

"Watch out." he said in a panic tone.

"Why?"

"There is something out there, with a bow and arrow."
