Another night wasted.

Saturday morning, 9:14.

I woke up.

Took a shower.

Brushed my teeth.

Ran downstairs.

Greeted my parents.

Put on a v-neck long sleeve.

Shimmied on sweatpants.

Threw on my favorite black Chucks.

Grabbed a book.

Snatched my water bottle.

Walked out the door.

Saturdays were the days I went outside to the park. The thing I love most about this town was that they had more parks than schools or anything else. Some were bigger than others, but luckily the smallest yet most peaceful one was located around the block from my house.

"Oh how I love parks, and talking to myself like a mad women. Oh joy." I slightly chuckled as I realized I was talking to myself, once again. Speaking of mad, I remembered that I forgot to watch the latest episode of Bates Motel that came out earlier in the week.

I'm not one to watch tv but Bates Motel was the only exception.

I returned home after about half an hour, nothing exciting happened ...as usual. I came home to go straight to the tv.

Once the rerun ended, I immediately switched it off. I didn't want to spend my whole Saturday on TV.

I hopped off the couch to go to the kitchen to grab some snacks. Those snacks consisted of pretzels, oranges and iced tea. Once I had retrieved them, I made my way upstairs to my bed room.

My room was, to say the least, big. Our house was completely oversized considering it only occupied 3 people.

"DAISY I'M HOME!" I heard my mom yell from door stairs. I sashayed down and met her down stairs as she was settling down her items. My mother owned the dentist and the general appliance stores in this town. My father on the other hand designs buildings and structures new apartment buildings to try and attract tourists to our town, which is probably the worst idea.

"How was your walk, sweetheart?" My mom was a tall blonde woman in her late 30's. She had hazel eyes and pale skin.

"It was alright. Why you home so early?" I looked at the microwave that read '11:26'.

"I'm on lunch break and I came to pick up my suitcase. I won't be home until around 10:00 today."

I sighed. In this house, anything after 10:00 pm, is like 3:00 am to most people. My parents go to sleep early and wake up even earlier.

"Alright mom, well I was thinking about having Emily over? Is that alright with you? " I asked nervously.

"Absolutely, I'll give her mom a call later to make sure she's okay with it." She turned to grab her suitcase from the breakfast den and quickly swiveled around back to me. "And I supposed since I'm coming home late tonight, she can , you know , spend the night. "

I grinned from ear to ear and hugged her. By the look on my face she probably knew I was going ask her eventually.

"But only if you guys stay in one of the guest rooms on the lower level."

"Of course mom!" In my house we had three levels. Up stairs, down stairs , and the lower level which was technically a basement, even though it was actually the same size as the rest of the levels.

"Well I have to head back now, love you Daisy!" I waited until she walked out the door to silently say to myself; "love you mom".

12:52 am.

I lay in my bed trying hard to sleep. I was expecting Emily to come over all day , but of course she forgot and didn't answer my texts.

As I got up from my bed to turn off the lights and charge my phone , I heard a slight tap on my window. 'Typical Emily ' I thought. After she did something 'wrong' to me she would come to my window in the middle I the night to apologize.

But to my surprise it wasn't Emily. This frightened me enough to almost let out a scream just before a hand covered my mouth. For once something in my life was actually interesting and exhilarating.
